Bringing together plant health experts from around the world, the Committee plays a key role in the development of International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs), helping to protect global plant resources and facilitate safe trade.

Science-based approaches and international standards developed under the International Plant Protection Convention support countries in strengthening plant health systems and improving responses to pest threats.
