🎶 L’attesa si fa musica! 🎶
In questi giorni i nostri bambini si stanno preparando per un momento davvero speciale. Due volontari stanno per arrivare e, insieme a loro, arriveranno anche tante sorprese! ❤️
Qui fervono i preparativi: i bambini provano, cantano, suonano e si divertono… mentre anche le mamme stanno preparando qualcosa di speciale per i nostri ospiti.
Domenica 6 sarà una giornata di festa: cucineremo, mangeremo tutti insieme e poi sarà il momento degli spettacoli, con i bambini e le mamme pronti a regalarci un po’ della loro musica, della loro allegria e della loro emozione. 🥰
Per ora vi lasciamo solo qualche piccolo assaggio delle prove… il resto sarà una sorpresa! 🤫❤️

🇬🇧 The waiting becomes music! 🎶
These days, our children are getting ready for a very special moment. Two volunteers are coming to visit us, and they will be bringing lots of surprises with them! ❤️
The preparations are already underway: the children are singing, playing music and having fun… while the mothers are also preparing something special for our guests.
Sunday the 6th will be a day of celebration: we will cook, eat together, and then it will be time for the performances, with the children and mothers ready to share their music, joy and excitement with us. 🥰
For now, here is just a little glimpse of their rehearsals… the rest will be a surprise! 🤫❤️

🌽 Dietro ogni distribuzione ci sono tante mani.
Donne, mamme e volontari che hanno passato ore a pesare e dividere il mais, preparando con attenzione la quantità destinata a ogni famiglia.
Un lavoro semplice solo in apparenza, fatto di fatica, organizzazione e collaborazione.
Perché prima che il cibo arrivi sulle tavole, c'è sempre qualcuno che si è messo al lavoro. ❤️

Women, mothers and volunteers spent hours weighing and dividing the maize, carefully preparing the amount for each family.
It may look like a simple task, but it takes hard work, organisation and teamwork.
Because before food reaches the table, there is always someone who has worked to make it happen. ❤️

A volte basta poco per ricordarci quanto siamo fortunati.
Un bambino, una casa di terra, un cortile, qualche gallina e un sorriso enorme.
Sharif non ha bisogno di grandi cose per essere felice: gli basta correre, giocare e sentirsi libero.
E forse è proprio questo che ci insegna il Kenya ogni giorno:
la felicità non sempre ha bisogno di molto. ❤️

Sometimes, it only takes a little to remind us how lucky we are.
A child, an earthen home, a yard, a few chickens and the biggest smile.
Sharif doesn't need much to be happy: he just needs to run, play and feel free.
And perhaps this is what Kenya teaches us every day:
happiness doesn't always need much. ❤️

Ci fermiamo un attimo ad osservare la natura. 🐜❤️
Quella che vedete è una colonna di formiche nomadi, conosciute in Kenya per la loro incredibile organizzazione. Migliaia di formiche si muovono insieme, ognuna con un compito preciso, lavorando come un'unica grande squadra.
Guardandole è impossibile non pensare a quanto sia importante la collaborazione. Da soli possiamo fare poco, ma insieme possiamo raggiungere traguardi straordinari.
È lo stesso spirito che anima Salim ODV: sostenitori, volontari, famiglie e bambini. Ognuno fa la sua parte e, passo dopo passo, riusciamo a costruire qualcosa di grande.
Perché anche il gesto più piccolo, quando si unisce a quello di tanti altri, può davvero cambiare una vita. ❤️

What you see is a column of army ants, well known in Kenya for their incredible organization. Thousands of ants move together, each with a specific task, working as one united team.
Watching them reminds us how powerful collaboration can be. Alone we can do little, but together we can achieve extraordinary things.
This is the same spirit that inspires Salim ODV: sponsors, volunteers, families, and children. Everyone plays their part, and step by step we are able to build something truly meaningful.
Because even the smallest act, when joined with many others, can change a life. ❤️

Anche ieri sera il lavoro è continuato fino a tardi. 🌽

Abbiamo diviso il mais destinato ai bambini del nostro programma di sostegno a distanza, preparando con cura la quantità per ogni famiglia.

In Kenya il mais è uno degli alimenti principali della dieta quotidiana. Viene cucinato con i fagioli per preparare il githeri, oppure macinato per ottenere la farina con cui si cucina l'ugali, il piatto che accompagna la maggior parte dei pasti.

Dietro ogni distribuzione ci sono tante ore di lavoro, organizzazione e impegno, ma sapere che ogni secchio arriverà sulla tavola di una famiglia rende ogni fatica più leggera.

Ora è tutto pronto per la distribuzione di sabato. ❤️

Yesterday evening, our work continued until late. 🌽

We divided the maize for the children in our sponsorship program, carefully preparing the right amount for every family.

In Kenya, maize is one of the main staple foods. It is cooked with beans to make githeri, or ground into flour to prepare ugali, the traditional dish served with most meals.

Every distribution requires many hours of work, planning, and dedication, but knowing that every bucket will reach a family's table makes every effort worthwhile.

Everything is now ready for Saturday's distribution. ❤️

Questa è Mwanasiti. ❤️
Da qualche tempo soffriva di un forte mal di denti. Mangiare era diventato difficile e il dolore l'accompagnava ogni giorno.
Grazie a una donazione extra della sua sostenitrice a distanza, abbiamo potuto portarla dal dentista. Dopo la visita sono stati estratti due denti che le stavano causando il problema.
Ora il peggio è passato e presto potrà tornare a sorridere senza dolore.
È anche questo il valore del sostegno a distanza: esserci quando nasce un bisogno improvviso e garantire ai bambini le cure di cui hanno bisogno, nel momento giusto.
Grazie di cuore a chi rende possibile tutto questo. ❤️

She had been suffering from a severe toothache for some time. Eating had become difficult, and she was in pain every day.
Thanks to an extra donation from her sponsor, we were able to take her to the dentist. After the examination, two teeth causing the pain were removed.
Now the worst is over, and she will soon be able to smile again without pain.
This is also what child sponsorship means: being there when unexpected needs arise and making sure children receive the medical care they need at the right time.

Questa è Riziki. ❤️

Mentre molte bambine della sua età stanno giocando o facendo i compiti, lei è già impegnata ad aiutare in casa, preparando la cena per la sua famiglia.

Ogni giorno, in Kenya, tanti bambini crescono assumendosi responsabilità molto presto. Nonostante questo, continuano a sorridere, a sognare e a sperare in un futuro migliore.

Con il sostegno a distanza possiamo alleggerire il peso che grava sulle loro famiglie, garantendo cibo, beni di prima necessità, cure mediche quando servono e la possibilità di andare a scuola.

Perché ogni bambino dovrebbe avere il diritto di essere semplicemente... un bambino.

While many children her age are playing or doing homework, she is already helping her family by preparing dinner.

Every day in Kenya, many children grow up taking on responsibilities far too early. Even so, they continue to smile, dream, and hope for a brighter future.

Through child sponsorship, we can help ease the burden on their families by providing food, essential supplies, medical care when needed, and access to education.

Because every child deserves the chance to simply... be a child.

A volte basta davvero poco per essere felici. ❤️
Un contenitore vuoto diventa un casco da astronauta, un gioco, una risata condivisa con gli amici. La fantasia dei bambini riesce a trasformare anche gli oggetti più semplici in momenti di gioia.
È un bellissimo promemoria: non è il valore delle cose a creare i ricordi più belli, ma la capacità di sognare e giocare insieme.
Grazie a tutti coloro che, con il loro sostegno, permettono a questi bambini di continuare a sorridere ogni giorno.

Sometimes, it takes very little to be happy. ❤️
An empty container becomes an astronaut's helmet, a toy, and a reason to laugh together with friends. Children's imagination can turn even the simplest objects into moments of pure joy.
It is a beautiful reminder that the best memories are not created by expensive things, but by the ability to dream, imagine, and play together.

Anche questo mese abbiamo completato la distribuzione alimentare per tutti i bambini sostenuti a distanza. ❤️

In base alla fascia di sostegno scelta dai donatori, ogni bambino ha ricevuto il proprio aiuto: generi alimentari, vestiti nuovi o beni di prima necessità, farina di avena per preparare il porridge, yogurt e riso.

Ogni consegna è preparata con attenzione, tenendo conto delle necessità reali delle famiglie e cercando di garantire un sostegno concreto e continuativo.

Grazie a tutti i sostenitori che, mese dopo mese, permettono a questi bambini di crescere con maggiore serenità e dignità.

This month we completed the food distribution for all sponsored children. ❤️

According to each sponsorship level, every child received support including food supplies, new clothes or essential items, oat flour for porridge, yogurt and rice.

Every distribution is carefully prepared according to the real needs of each family, ensuring practical and continuous support.
