Building Skills, Creating Opportunities 🌱✨

At Sangharsh, young adults are learning practical skills that help them move towards greater independence and confidence.

👕 Some of our young adults are gaining hands-on experience at a local garment unit, learning tasks such as tagging and other garment-related activities.

🥣 Others are exploring Katori making, developing their concentration, hand skills, and confidence through meaningful vocational activities.

Every new skill is a step towards independence, inclusion, and a more empowered future. 💚

At the Sangharsh Centre, young adults with disabilities are taking meaningful steps towards independence by learning basic computer skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Watching our students explore technology with curiosity and determination reminds us that inclusion begins with access to learning.

Sahyog Chehak Trust conducted a Disability Awareness Session with 20–22 NSS students on 24th July 2026 at S.K. Somaiya College, with the valuable support of Dr. Mukta Pote.

We continued the journey on 27th July 2026, at K. J. Somaiya College, where we trained second Year students to be disability champions and assist in conducting disability Sensitisation sessions with the junior college students. This session was successfully organised with the support of Professor Prabhat Upadhyay.

A heartfelt thank you to the faculty members and all the NSS volunteers for their incredible energy, support, and willingness to become changemakers. Together, we are empowering youth to build communities where everyone belongs.
