A New Beginning – Umang Women’s Education Program 2.0 🌼

At the start of Sahyog’s journey, we launched the Women’s Education Program to empower dropout women from the community. Through this initiative, many women were supported in enrolling for their 10th, 12th, and graduation, giving them a chance to restart their education and move closer to their dreams.

Now, we bring Umang Women’s Education Program 2.0 — with renewed energy, stronger determination, and a fresh beginning. Our goal remains the same: to encourage more women to embrace education and support them in building a better future.

On this occasion, an interactive discussion was held with the women, where they openly shared their aspirations, challenges, and plans for their educational journey. This was not just a conversation, but the beginning of a new path.

✨ Education is the key to empowerment — and every woman deserves this right.

Camp Day 2 at Asalpha Center, children explored the beautiful and ancient tribal art form of Maharashtra — Warli Art, under the guidance of Priyanka Santosh ji 🎨✨

They learned that this art is traditionally practiced by the Warli tribe in regions like Palghar, Nashik, and Dhule. Using white rice paste on mud-red walls, simple yet striking paintings are created.

The children discovered how basic shapes like circles (sun/moon), triangles (mountains/trees), and lines come together to depict everyday life, farming, and dance.

Not just learning, but experiencing too — the children created their own Warli paintings and brought this traditional art to life!

Today’s session also saw active participation from Preeti, Poonam, Archana, Parveen, and Farhana from Asalpha Library, along with a parent, making it even more special 🤍

✨ Truly, a day dedicated to celebrating ancient culture and art!
