As part of the SBM (U) 2.0 Capacity Building Initiative, AIILSG organised training programmes for the field workers of Kolhapur Municipal Corporation.

AIILSG Empanelled as Swachhata Knowledge Partner (SKP) under SBM (Urban) 2.0

We are pleased to share that the Directorate of Urban Administration & Development, Government of Madhya Pradesh, has empanelled AIILSG, Bhopal as a Swachhata Knowledge Partner (SKP) for the implementation and coordination of Training-cum-Exposure Visits on Used Water Management under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0.

The programme, to be conducted at CSIR–National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur, will enhance the technical capacity of officials and engineers from Urban Local Bodies in scientific wastewater management, interception & diversion, wastewater treatment, reuse, decentralized treatment systems, and innovative technologies.

🎓 Inauguration of Academic Session 2026–2027 | AIILSG, Bhopal

The All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG), Bhopal, inaugurated the Academic Session 2026–2027 for its Sanitary Inspector Diploma Course, Fireman Certificate Course, Diploma in Local Governance & Fire Management (DLGFM), and Local Self-Government Diploma Course on 29th July 2026.

The ceremony was graced by Smt. Malti Rai, Hon'ble Mayor, Bhopal Municipal Corporation, as the Chief Guest. In her address, she highlighted the importance of trained professionals in strengthening public health, fire safety, and local self-governance, and encouraged students to pursue their studies with dedication and contribute meaningfully to society.

The inauguration marked the beginning of a new academic journey, reaffirming AIILSG's commitment to quality education, skill development, and capacity building. Faculty members, staff, and newly admitted students came together to celebrate this significant occasion.

Health & Safety Day | AIILSG Centenary Celebrations

As part of the AIILSG Centenary Celebrations, the Delhi Centre successfully observed Health & Safety Day on 27th July, reinforcing our commitment to promoting health, safety, and well-being.

In today's fast-paced world, where demanding schedules, sedentary lifestyles, and environmental challenges significantly impact our physical and mental health, participants attended an insightful session by Dr. Nidhi Yadav (Ph.D. in Hospital Management, IIHMR). The session focused on preventive healthcare practices, the impact of adverse environmental conditions, and practical ways to lead a healthier lifestyle. The programme was organized in collaboration with Dr. R. P. S. Yadav, Unit Head, ICBP, Delhi.

The second half of the programme featured an engaging First Response Demonstration led by Dr. Subhash Kumar Jha, Research Officer, IIHMR, along with Dr. Nidhi Yadav. The demonstration covered essential life-saving techniques and appropriate first-response practices to effectively handle accidents and other medical emergencies.

The event empowered participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills, reaffirming AIILSG's commitment to fostering a culture of health, safety, and preparedness during its landmark Centenary year.

🏆 New Training Assignment Secured

AIILSG Ranchi has been entrusted by Gumla Nagar Parishad, Jharkhand, to conduct a two-day Capacity Building Programme under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0 for elected representatives and sanitation workers.

The programme will focus on SWM Rules 2026, Plastic Waste Management Rules, plastic recycling systems, 4-bin segregation, collection efficiency, route optimization, drain cleaning, sanitation, and Liquid Waste Management (LWM), equipping participants with practical knowledge to strengthen urban sanitation and service delivery.
