Shri Ravi Ranjan Guru, Deputy Director General, AIILSG, along with Shri D. P. Tiwari, Advisor (MP-CG), AIILSG, met Hon’ble Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Cabinet Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and Hon’ble Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, Mayor of Indore Municipal Corporation.

During the meeting, both dignitaries were invited to the 3rd World Mayors’ Forum 2026, scheduled to be held from 25–27 November 2026 in Mumbai.

AIILSG remains committed to strengthening local governance, supporting urban local bodies, and promoting effective urban administration.

As part of the AIILSG@100 Centenary Celebrations, we are pleased to share a special congratulatory message from Mr. Abhilash Khandekar on the 100th anniversary of the All India Institute of Local Self-Government (AIILSG).

Reflecting on the Institute’s remarkable journey, Mr. Khandekar acknowledges its enduring contribution to local governance, capacity building, and handholding municipal corporations. He also highlights the growing importance of strengthening urban governance as India’s cities continue to expand.

Promoting Health & Well-Being Through Community Outreach | CSR Initiative

AIILSG Rajkot successfully conducted a General Health Check-Up Camp under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at Warangal, Telangana.

The camp provided community members with access to basic health check-ups and consultations, reinforcing the importance of preventive healthcare and community well-being.

Empowering Urban Leaders Through Capacity Building | ICBP Kolkata

AIILSG successfully conducted a 3-day Integrated Capacity Building Programme (ICBP) for WBCS (Executive) Officers serving as Executive Officers of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) at ILGUS Bhavan, Kolkata.

The programme focused on strengthening the knowledge, skills and institutional capacities of officers to enhance the effective functioning of ULBs, improve civic service delivery and promote responsive local administration.

Through interactive sessions, knowledge sharing and practical discussions, the programme provided a platform for officers to exchange experiences, share insights and explore effective approaches to emerging challenges in urban development and local administration.

Strengthening Partnerships for the 3rd World Mayors’ Forum 🌏🏙️

Shri Ravi Ranjan Guru, Deputy Director General, AIILSG, along with senior officials of the All India Institute of Local Self-Government (AIILSG), had a productive meeting with Smt. Ritu Rajesh Tawde, Hon’ble Mayor of Mumbai, and Smt. Ashwini Satish Bhide, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), in Mumbai.

The discussions focused on the upcoming 3rd World Mayors’ Forum, being organised by AIILSG in Mumbai from 25–27 November 2026 as part of AIILSG’s Centenary Year celebrations.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss Mumbai’s engagement in the Forum and explore avenues to strengthen the city’s participation in global conversations on inclusive, resilient and sustainable urban development.

We are delighted to welcome Mumbai’s participation in this important global gathering of mayors, municipal leaders and urban stakeholders.
