Gefen is a non profit organization that provides emotional and wellness support for women in Israel on their fertility journey.

Keren Gefen is a non-profit organization that provides emotional and wellness support to fertility challenged women in Israel at minimal or no cost. Our activities are based in the warm and nurturing Gefen Center, located in the German Colony in Jerusalem. We have created an array of innovative programs of Mind/Body Therapies, CBT Counseling, Yoga Fertility Workshops and Complementary Treatments that are designed to reduce stress, relax bodies and regain spirit.

עמותת קרן גפן היא עמותה ללא כוונות רווח המפעילה מספר פרויקטים למען נשים וזוגות מאותגרי פוריות. העמותה מספקת שירותי תמיכה נפשית, שיעורי יוגה פוריות להפחתת מתח, תכניות גוף-נפש שונות ועוד. כל הסדנאות הן בדמי השתתפות מינימליים.

ידוע כי נשים העוברות טיפולי פוריות עשויות לסבול מחרדה, דיכאון, מתח, הערכה עצמית נמוכה ובעיות בקשר הזוגי. מחקרים מראים שהמצב הנפשי הנ"ל גורם לירידת שיעורי הפוריות אצל נשים. לפיכך, תמיכה פסיכולוגית היא מרכיב חשוב בטיפול בנשים העוברות טיפולי פוריות. ייחודה של קרן גפן טמון ביכולת שלה לתמוך בנשים אלו במגוון שיטות וללא עלות.

Rachel Imeinu's cry is one of the oldest expressions of longing for a child. Thousands of years later, many women and couples still carry it quietly.

In honor of her yahrzeit, Dr. Rhonda Adessky, Gefen Fertility's Clinical Director, joins a panel on the space where infertility, faith and hope meet.

They breathed. They stretched. They laughed a lot.

Kady Harari, Gefen's Program Director, ran a yoga session for a group of young women from a pre-army prep unit (יחידת הכנה לצה״ל), who came up from the south to Ra'anana for the day.

Their commander wanted to give them a day of calm after months of hard work. 🌿

It was an honor to hold this space for them. 🤍

Today, is World IVF Day.

On 25 July 1978, history was made with the birth of Louise Brown, the world’s first baby born through IVF. It was a breakthrough made possible by Professor Sir Robert Edwards, Dr Patrick Steptoe, and Jean Purdy, nurse and embryologist. Their vision, dedication and perseverance changed fertility medicine forever.

Their work has given hope to millions of people around the world, making families possible where it once seemed impossible.

Today, we honor the pioneers of IVF, the advances in reproductive medicine that followed, and every person in the middle of treatment right now. 🤍

At Gefen, we provide the emotional and wellness support for women on their fertility journey in Israel. You do not have to navigate this alone. Gefen is here for you!
