🚨 **Shocking revelation: Netanyahu approved the submarine deal. The Mossad was sent to act against it, putting operatives’ lives at risk.**

According to a report by .bergman published in Yedioth Ahronoth this Friday, Netanyahu gave Germany the green light for the sale of submarines to Egypt, concealed that approval from Israel’s defense establishment, and then instructed the Mossad to act against the very same deal. Even the head of the Mossad was not given this critical information.

When Mossad operatives are sent on a dangerous mission while their own director is kept in the dark about agreements that have already been made, the consequences can be a matter of life and death.

At the Movement for Quality Government in Israel, we collected testimony from senior defense officials, petitioned the High Court of Justice, and led a years-long campaign for the establishment of a State Commission of Inquiry. We fought to bring the truth to light. We will continue to fight to ensure that responsibility is established.

On Yom Kippur, we are asked to reflect honestly on our actions, to acknowledge where we failed, and to take responsibility.

For the families of October 7, that responsibility cannot remain an abstract idea. They deserve to know what happened, what went wrong, who knew, who warned, and who was responsible.

As Gai’s father says, an independent State Commission of Inquiry is not about revenge. It is about truth, accountability, learning from what happened, and making sure it never happens again.

This Yom Kippur, the government owes the families and the Israeli public the truth, and the courage to face it.

⚖️ An important victory in our fight for equal burden-sharing

Last Thursday, Israel’s Supreme Court struck down a law that had frozen the arrest of draft evaders - legislation designed to halt enforcement proceedings against ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) men who are legally required to serve in the military but fail to report for duty.

In the petition we filed, we argued that the law seriously violated the principle of equality. The Court unanimously ruled that the legislative process was fundamentally flawed, requiring the law to be struck down. An 8–1 majority also found that the law severely infringed the constitutional right to equality.

This is an important victory for a simple principle: the law must apply equally to everyone. Those who are legally required to serve must also obey the law — and no special legal protection from enforcement should be created for one sector of society. We will continue fighting for genuine equality in sharing the responsibilities of citizenship.

An important legal victory for freedom of expression and a free press!

Israel’s Supreme Court unanimously accepted our petition and struck down the government’s decision to shut down Galei Tzahal (Army Radio). The station will remain on the air.

This is an important victory for the rule of law and the public’s right to free and independent media. A government cannot shut down a public broadcaster through a flawed process or for improper considerations.

We will continue to stand against any attempt to undermine a free press or democratic institutions.
