I was so happy to drop into Kilmacowen Community Preschool and Playgroup Bríd Ferry-Mulligan Aoife Flynn Lorraine Smith today to see the children whom i worked with for many years, they collected bottles and cans and raised €131.80 including donatons from parents and designed a beautiful poster for our up and coming event on the 6th june in the Sligo Southern Hotel, Co. This is Biscuit 🍪
Before Easter, we were learning about Rabbits so he came for a visit today.
Biscuit is blind and needed the children to be extra quiet for him as he gets nervous sometimes. The children were all so good to him 🥰
Biscuit is now helping us to understand how it might feel to be visually impaired. We discussed the use of guide dogs, the 'bumps' on the footpath and the SOUND that the lights make when it is safe to cross the road. Next week we will invite the children to cover their eyes with a scarf so they can experience what it might feel like.
