Our athletes had a wonderful evening at the Civil Reception hosted by Mayor Gino O’Boyle, celebrating the incredible achievements of Sligo athletes and coaches at the 2026 Special Olympics Ireland Summer Games. 🏅✨

It was a proud occasion to recognise the hard work, dedication, determination, and sportsmanship shown by every athlete and coach throughout the Games. Their achievements continue to inspire our community, and we couldn’t be prouder of all they have accomplished.

A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Gino O’Boyle and everyone involved in organising such a special evening to honour our local sporting heroes. Congratulations once again to all our athletes and coaches-you have made Sligo incredibly proud! 💚

What a fantastic evening at our End of Term Party! 🐴❤️

Well done and welcome home to Evaun, Joe, Noel and Philip who recently competed in the 2026 Special Olympics Summer Games. They had a brilliant weekend! 👏🏻
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate with us and for your continued support throughout the term. Our club wouldn’t be the same without our amazing athletes, families, volunteers, coaches, and wider community.

A very special mention goes to Claudia as she retires from Nightriders. Claudia, thank you for your many years of dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to our club and athletes. Your hard work behind the scenes, endless support, and willingness to go above and beyond have helped shape Nightriders into the wonderful community it is today. Your impact will be felt for years to come, and you will be greatly missed.

What an amazing weekend! 🌟🐴

A huge congratulations to Noel, Philip, Joe and Evaun, who did absolutely phenomenal at the 2026 Summer Games this past weekend. Your hard work, dedication and sportsmanship were truly inspiring, and the entire Nightriders team couldn’t be prouder of each of you! 💙

Congratulations also to every athlete who took part across the wide variety of sports over the weekend. The determination, teamwork and incredible spirit shown by everyone made the event a fantastic success.
