Be part of Brigit 2027 🌸✨
Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women returns from Friday 29 January to Monday 1 February 2027 — and we want you to be part of it.

Brigit returns for its sixth edition with a city-wide celebration of women past and present, the arrival of spring and the Celtic festival of Imbolc.

Inspired by Brigit and St Brigid, and the themes of creativity, renewal, wisdom, healing, protection, nature and fire, Brigit 2027 will once again bring together artists, communities, cultural organisations and audiences across Dublin.

There are two ways to get involved:

✨ Submit an event for Brigit 2027
Are you planning an event, performance, exhibition, workshop, talk, tour or other activity that connects with Brigit, St Brigid, Imbolc or the themes of the festival? We’re inviting artists, cultural organisations, community groups, embassies and event organisers to submit events for consideration for the city-wide Brigit 2027 programme.

✨ Join the Brigit Parade
Community groups, performers, musicians, dancers, sports groups, artists, schools, cultural organisations and collectives are invited to express their interest in taking part in the Brigit Parade in Dublin city centre. Whether you’d like to participate through music, dance, costume, performance, spectacle or simply bring your community together to walk in the parade, we’d love to hear from you.

Mapping Ireland’s Dereliction: Data, Heritage and the Colour of Place with our special guest speaker Rob Cross

Heritage Month's theme this year is 'Heritage At Risk' — to help explore Ireland's built heritage under threat, An Taisce is eager to bring you this informative webinar exploring Ireland's dereliction crisis.

Our guest speaker, Rob Cross will be giving a visual showcase of his work documenting and mapping dereliction across Ireland. The webinar will explore how data, aerial mapping, colourisation and social media storytelling can reveal the scale, character and heritage value of vacant and derelict buildings.

Rob will share examples from https://www.derelictsites.com/, including flyover mapping and visual case studies, and discuss how these tools can support public awareness, local authority action and a more informed conversation about reuse, conservation and place.

There will be a chance for a Q&A at the end.
