One to look at the Maynooth Futures talks
Maynooth Futures Lecture Series | First event this evening at 7pm!
What does the future hold for how we produce food, power our communities, move around, and access housing? Starting this evening, the Maynooth Futures Lecture Series brings together Maynooth University researchers for a four-part public lecture programme exploring the future of food, energy, transportation, and housing. Co-hosted by the ICARUS Climate Research Centre, the Maynooth Branch of the Climate Justice Universities Union, Maynooth Green Campus, and the Department of Geography, in collaboration with Maynooth University Library, each event will feature expert presentations and audience discussion.

• 2 November | Future of Food
Rebecca Vining explores a just transition for Ireland's agri-food system, with a focus on seasonal work in fruit and vegetable production.
• 9 November | Future of Energy
Emanuela Ferrari and Prof. Jennie Stephens discuss the future of fossil fuels, community-owned renewable energy, and the impacts of rapid data centre expansion.
• 16 November | Future of Transportation
ConchĂşr Ă“ Maonaigh examines how a just transition can help shape lower-carbon transport systems and sustainable mobility.
• 23 November | Future of Housing
Dr Fiadh Tubridy explores housing and climate justice, and what fair and sustainable housing futures could look like.
