Newbridge FRC Newbridge FRC is a participative & empowering organisation, that supports families while building the capacity & leadership of the local community.

Newbridge Family Resource Centre in one of over 100 Family Resource Centres around Ireland. The principal objectives of the FRC programme is to combat disadvantage, and to strengthen and empower children, families and communities. We involve local communities in addressing the issues they face, and create meaningful partnerships for social change between voluntary and statutory agencies. Newbridge FRC has operated within our purpose built building in Dara Park since its opening on the 19th of April 2004. The service itself grew out of the ‘Happy Morning Women’s Group’ which was established and developed by local people in September 1996. The ‘LHD’ Centre (Lakeside, Highfield and Dara Park) was then housed in a three bedroom house in Dara Park until the opening of the Resource Centre itself in 2004. The Centre is run by a Voluntary Board of Management and has a staff team of a Coordinator, a part-time and a full time Development Worker, a part time Administrator, a Child Care manager, seven childcare staff, and five Community Employment workers. The Centre is funded by TUSLA and Pobal and its work is supported by Kildare County Council, the etb, Solas, Kildare County Childcare Committee and other agencies

🌟 What a busy and successful month for Mary Mulcahy, FRCNF’s Mental Health Training & Policy Officer!

💚 Mary has been delivering valuable training across the National FRC Programme, helping staff build knowledge and confidence to support wellbeing in their workplaces and communities.

📚 This month, Mary delivered Taking Action for Whole Health and Wellbeing facilitator training to Kells Connect FRC, Solas FRC Headford, Trim-Family Resource-Centre, Newbridge FRC, Ballaghaderreen Family Resource Centre and East Coast Family Resource Centre . She also delivered Workplace Wellbeing Training in Trim FRC and Su***de Prevention Code of Practice Training in Solas FRC Headford .

👏 A big well done to Mary and thanks to all the FRCs who took part. These are important skills for everyone across the National FRC Programme and help support the wellbeing of staff and communities.

🎃🧡 Exciting Halloween fun is coming to Newbridge for all the family! Check out the Samhain Newbridge Family Day this Saturday, 31 October. Lots of fun for all the family! 👻✨

We're taking over Newbridge Town Hall on Saturday 31 October, from 10.30am to 4pm, with plenty for children and families to enjoy.

🧸🧶 A LITTLE TEDDY WITH A LOT OF LOVE! ❤️

Some of our lovely Pins & Needles Group members at Newbridge Family Resource Centre have entered this gorgeous handmade teddy into the ICA and RTÉ Today Show Teddy Bear Competition! 🧸✨

❤️ Making a difference: Every teddy entered will be donated to hospitals or charities across Ireland, spreading comfort, smiles and a little handmade happiness to those who need it most.

We’re so proud of our talented group members and wish them the very best of luck! 🍀🏆
