As the Bord Bia scandal rumbles on, Talamh Beo asks: why the surprise?

This isn’t about one controversy or a few individuals.
It’s about a system that has been failing farmers for years.
Low incomes. Export dependency. Corporate capture.
Farmers squeezed while others profit.
If we want real change, we need to look beyond the people and examine the system itself.

Talamh Beo is appealing to the government to provide financial support to impacted growers and farmers across the nation.

Essential farming infrastructure, in particular polytunnels, have been severely damaged across the country in the wake of storm Éowyn leaving food producers facing not only an immediate loss of income but also the burden of significant repair costs.

We ask the government to ensure that food producers get back on their feet by providing swift financial aid.

The sign on-line petition can be accessed through our linktree.
