Rotary Ireland has over 2000 members in 73 clubs, it is non-political and non-religious and draws it members from all walk of life. The Focus of Rotary’s work is both international and national, Rotary members unite at home and across the globe to put our experience and knowledge to work tackling our most pressing challenges. We focus our efforts in six areas: promoting peace, preventing diseases,
providing access to clean water and sanitation, enhancing maternal and child health, improving basic education and literacy, and helping communities develop. We are especially dedicated to ending polio in our lifetimes. Rotary members have persevered in this fight since 1979 and have now helped eradicate polio in all but two countries worldwide. In Ireland Rotary works with Gorta-Self Help Africa -H20 project, Cancer Fund for Children - Daisy Lodge provides families, from across the Island of Ireland, whose child has been diagnosed with cancer (aged 0-24), a free therapeutic short break, in Co Down and Co Cork, Vincent de Paul, Crumlin Children’s Hospital, and many local charitable organisations in the 32 counties where our clubs are established.
