Well done to our Scouts the weekend competing in The Phoenix Challenge in Castle Saunderson getting awarded Silver Standard for their efforts. Huge congratulations to all Teams who did so well showing scouting is going strong in Limerick. Thanks to all involved in running such a fantastic event

We regret to announce the passing of Mary Geary Bourke was a Scouter in our Cub Pack for many years. Our thoughts are with her husband Mike and her family. Mary will be fondly remembered by all of us. May she rest in peace.

Return day 😁 It was an early start to get tents down and gear loaded to get Cillian off to the ferry.
Once we had breakfast it had already hit 25 degrees. Melting, scorching, sweltering take your pick ☀️☀️☀️ After we had site sweep completed, uniforms & passports checked we said our goodbyes to our pals from Douglas & St. Fin Barre's Scout Group then we started the journey home with our last trek to Chingford Station heading to Liverpool Street having a McDonald's on the way before heading to airport for flight home. To end our adventure we had a presentation to camp Chief Barry for his hard work when we got back to Shannon and handed them back to parents 😁
Huge thanks to Cillian Hickey & Ciara for making sure all went so well. Thanks too to Ray from Watergrasshill for bringing our marquee home.

Day 8 We headed back to London to visit the Science Museum where many are facts were learned (Hopefully)
After that it was off to Leicester Square again where scouts did some shopping and we also met up with our great friend and supporter also former Group Leader of 23rd Limerick John Giltenan to introduce him to our Scouts and catch up. A pleasure as always.
As it was Scouters night to cook dinner there was great cheer when pizza was on the menu.

Day 7. Early start for both Scouts and Ventures to head to Lee Valley White Water Centre for a fantastic day on the water. Huge thanks to the staff for looking after us. We also said slán to our friends from Watergrasshill who were great neighbours Hope you got home safely SI - International Still Sweltering ☀️

Days 5 & 6 both sections on site in Gilwell Scouting Centre taking part in various activities throughout the 2 days. Including fencing, grass sledging, Jacobs ladder, orienteering, catapult making & Rock climbing. Thanks to the onsite team for their support.
The SI - International contingent grew with the arrival of our contingent Of course there was great interest both days in the hurling semi finals. LUIMNEACHABÚ

Day 4. Started with an unexpected bus trip through East London due to signal failure but we enjoyed it all the same. Ventures went off sightseeing while
Scouts went to the followed by a treck to visit Buckingham Palace followed by an ice-cream in the park.
Back to site where dinner was cooked by patrol 2 followed by the usual camp fun and socialising. Oh sweltering all day again ☀️☀️

Day 3 our Scouts & Ventures headed to London for a monopoly run getting to explore the city and seeing many wonderful landmarks. Also bumped into our own in Leicester Square
Was back to site for dinner cooked by patrol 1 and a relaxing evening mixing with other scouts on site from Ireland Douglas & St. Fin Barre's Scout Group Watergrass hill
