Every euro raised from this event will go directly towards helping us meet these costs and continue providing our vital 24/7 service, which we have proudly provided for the past 13 years.

Whether you’re joining us on the ride or simply coming along to support us, every bit of support makes a difference and helps us keep our vehicles on the road and our service running.

What a very busy week for us here at Blood Bike Leinster Monday seen 5 of our response vehicles on the road, meeting up with Blood Bike Dublin and Blood Bike Mid West in Portlaoise, while one unit headed to Letterkenny, Sligo and Castlebar our second unit was on the way to Portlaoise, Tullamore and Galway, our third unit completed 9 city calls for Acute and Neo Natal and our other two units looked after Mullingar to Dublin and Kildare areas, a lot of hours, miles and fuel used on the day, many thanks to Blood Bike Dublin and Blood Bike Mid West for the link ups.

🚨 What a great day at the Emergency Expo yesterday at the Radisson Blu Hotel! 🚨

It was brilliant to meet and chat with frontline people from so many different services and hear about their experiences.

One of the most interesting parts was listening to former Gardaí, Army personnel and others who have moved on from their careers, either setting up on their own or joining other organisations. They have taken years of experience and knowledge with them and are now using it in new ways.

For us in Blood Bikes, this was extremely valuable. We picked up some great ideas on how to get things done, how to approach the right people and how to move things forward.

Some might ask, “What more is there to learn about Blood Bikes?”

The answer is plenty! Every day is a learning day. There is always someone with a different experience, a new idea or a different way of looking at things.

Yesterday was a great reminder of that.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us and share their knowledge. It was a fantastic and worthwhile event. 👏

Today, Blood Bike Leinster is proud to be attending the Emergency Services Expo at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone.

Events like this are a fantastic opportunity to meet and engage with colleagues from across the emergency, healthcare and voluntary sectors, to share experiences, build relationships and highlight the important role that volunteer organisations play in supporting our communities.

For over 13 years, our volunteers have provided a, 24/7/365 medical transport service, delivering blood, blood products, samples, medications, donor breast milk and other urgent medical items to hospitals and healthcare facilities across Ireland.

We’ve proudly attended this event since 2013, when it was known as – Frontline Emergency & Security Services Éire Forum.

Now known as National Services Day, it brings frontline and voluntary services from across Ireland together to showcase what they do and the amazing people behind them.

After 13 years, we’re still proud to be part of this fantastic event and to stand alongside so many dedicated volunteers and frontline services. 👏🇮🇪
