SICAP is the new Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme.

CKLP is committed to a "bottom-up" approach; working with communities to develop local solutions to local issues. Our focus is on promoting local economic development, addressing inequality and social inclusion. CKLP is governed by a voluntary board of directors with representatives from the community and voluntary sector, statutory sector, social partners and local authority. It aims to tackle p

overty, social exclusion and long-term unemployment through local engagement and partnership between disadvantaged individuals, community organisations and public sector agencies. Its vision is to improve the life chances and opportunities of those who are marginalised in society, living in poverty or in unemployment through community development approaches, targeted supports and interagency collaboration, where the values of equality and inclusion are promoted and human rights are respected.

🚲 Learn To Cycle is back! This cycling course for children and teenagers with additional needs will be taking place in Ryston Sports & Social Club, Newbridge.

ℹ️ This six week programme begins on Tuesday 2 June and costs €30. The course is aligned to Cycle Right, the National Standard for Cycle Training in Ireland, and is delivered by a qualified trainer.

They took the learning beyond the classroom, exploring local history and spending quality time socialising together in Emo 📍✨
