Imagine starting your life in a pound and then ending up in a rescue centre! ❤️‍🩹 Theo is a 2 year old pocket bully, neutered, vaccinated, chipped, and ready to find a loving home.

Best suited to a home as the only pet, Theo could live with children over 10, he is very smart and eager to learn. We are searching for a home with breed experience for this gorgeous boy.

Our beautiful Pocket Bully is looking for her very own home. 🥰

Camilla is 9 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. She has previously lived as an only dog and has experience living with older dog savvy children.

Camilla absolutely loves being with people, so we would ideally like a home where someone is around for at least part of the day. She is initially a little strong on the lead, but once she settles, she walks well. 🐾

Camilla would prefer to be the only pet, and we would like to find a home with breed experience.

🧡 Daz 🧡

Daz is 10 months old, ready and waiting to find a loving home. Unfortunately he didn’t have a great start in life, he was passed through many hands before he arrived into the care of the shelter pound, and from there, he then joined the MLHR family.

We continue to see more of this sweet boy’s personality shine each day - he loves a good ear scratch and to spend time with our volunteers, where he’s only too happy to give kisses and curl up beside them for cuddles. 🤭

Daz would love a secure garden to play in and another dog in the home (no cats!) he could live with older dog savvy children.

Do you remember Willow, who recently came into our care frightened and completely shut down? ❤️

We’re delighted to say that Willow has made so much progress and is now ready to find her loving forever family.

We’re looking for a home with experience of shy or nervous dogs, where her new family will be patient and understanding, giving her the time, reassurance and love she needs to build her confidence.

Willow is still learning about the world around her, including how to walk comfortably on a lead, so she would be best suited to a quiet, peaceful home where she can take things at her own pace.

A secure garden would be great for her, giving her a safe space to explore and enjoy herself. Most importantly, she needs a family who understands that gaining her trust will take time, but who will be there every step of the way to show her just how wonderful life in a loving home can be.🥰

Our volunteers received a very special letter today from one of our young supporters, Khadija.

We have our new artwork in our volunteer space so everyone can admire it, we’re delighted to see young people take such an interest in animals.

We can’t understand why this amazing girl is still waiting to find a loving home. She originally came into our care having been abandoned with multiple infections but despite this, has always had her curious, nappy go lucky personality. She loves to play with tennis balls, and was only too happy to help open this box. Just look at that happy tail 🥹

Estelle would thrive in a calm, caring home with older children or teenagers, and she would prefer to be the only pet so she can enjoy all of the attention herself. Her favourite things are cuddling up on the couch for a cosy nap, going for walks, or a game of fetch.

She is patiently waiting for her forever family and would love not to have to wait much longer.

FIVER FRIDAY FOR OUR GORGEOUS INDIE 💔❤️

Tonight’s Fiver Friday is dedicated to our gorgeous girl, Indie, who quite literally broke our hearts this week. 💔💔

This was Indie on her very first day with us. It took us ages just to get her out of the van. She was absolutely terrified, trembling with fear the minute we tried to touch her. Her poor nose was so sore from a badly fitted muzzle, and all we could think was… what on earth has this poor girl been through? 😢💔

But slowly, little by little, she began to relax. And then, finally, she ate. ❤️

Indie is doing so much better now, and watching her start to come around has been the most beautiful thing. She is such a sweet, gentle girl, and it breaks our hearts to think of what she may have endured before she came to us.💔💔

So tonight, we're asking you to give a fiver for Indie and for all the other precious animals in our care who need us just as much.💔❤️

Skip a slice of pizza. Give up a b**r or a glass of w**e tonight. Whatever you can spare, that €5 can help us continue caring for animals who desperately need a second chance.

Our beautiful lurcher boy is hoping he won’t have to wait too long to find a loving home! Frederick is a fun loving puppy, he’d love a secure garden to play in, could live with another dog and is suitable to live with dog savvy children.

We would love to find a home where someone is home part of the time, who will continue his training and socialisation and a home with breed experience.
