🥳♥️GREAT NEWS ♥️🥳

We were absolutely delighted to receive such a heartwarming update from MLHR Olivia and her wonderful new family. 💛

Olivia was born into the safety of MLHR alongside her brothers and sisters, where she was lovingly cared for by her amazing mum, Alice, before finding her forever home through adoption.

Now called Twixie, she has gone from strength to strength and is clearly loving every moment of family life, with her new brothers Oreo and Rolo happily by her side showing her the ropes.🥰

Her family have said

“Hi guys! Just wanted to send you an update of another one of Alices beautiful babies. Formerly known as Olivia this is our beautiful girl Twixie. She's loving her life with us and her 2 brothers Rolo and Oreo! We're so blessed she's the best most clever girl and we can't thank you enough for bringing her into our lives! She's added so much to our little family she's already the boss of her brothers! we love her SO much”

Fiver Friday

This week’s Fiver Friday is dedicated to Willow.

Many of you will remember this sweet girl who recently joined the MLHR family—terrified, shut down, and unsure of the world around her. In the beginning, her world was very small. The comfort and familiarity of her bed, her blanket, and her little safe space was all she wanted.

We’re so proud of the progress she continues to make, she’s now learning to play! 🥹 we know that the smallest steps can be the biggest milestones, and we promise to be right by her side every step of the way as she learns to trust, grow, and find her confidence.❤️

💔 PLEASE HELP LILY, WE ARE DESPERATE FOR A FOSTER.
PLEASE DON’T SCROLL PAST HER, SHE HAS ALREADY BEEN LET DOWN ENOUGH. 💔 💔💔💔💔💔
Lily was found on Thursday with severe cuts, wounds and marks, especially underneath her little body. We don't know exactly what happened to her, whether she was dragged or attacked, but we do know she has suffered terribly.
And yet, despite everything, Lily has been the sweetest, gentlest girl. ❤️
She is currently at Firehouse Veterinary Clinic where the amazing team are doing everything they can for her. My Lovely Horse Animal Rescue are now taking her into our care because Lily deserves a second chance.❤️💔❤️💔
WE NEED A FOSTER HOME FOR HER.
We will pay for everything she needs, veterinary care, medication, food and ongoing treatment. We just need someone willing to open their home and heart to this beautiful girl while she heals. ❤️❤️

❤️ Benedict ❤️

Benedict came into our care after been found in a horrendous state! He was absolutely skin and bone on arrival 😔 Thankfully now he is thriving after lots of veterinary care and TLC ❤️ He is a 5 year old standard bully 🥰 and what a handsome boy he is!

He is looking for a home with a family who have experience with the breed. He could live by himself or company to a female of similar size pending a meet and greet in a cat free home. Teenage kids would be best as he can get excitable.

💔 THIS CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE 💔💔💔💔
Yesterday, our MLHR Cork team was called to Banduff, Cork, after a report of a poor foal with a severely broken leg.💔💔💔💔💔
What we found was heartbreaking.
This poor baby had been chased, along with other horses, for nights by people on quads, apparently for their own amusement. 😡😡😡😡
The result was a terrified, injured foal left suffering with a devastating injury.
By the time we arrived, there was nothing we could do to save him.💔
We had to call a vet, and then arrange for his body to be taken away.💔
But when we entered the field with the An Garda Síochána, we discovered three more horses in an appalling condition.
They were severely emaciated and desperately weak.💔💔💔
We stayed until around midnight, working alongside the Gardaí and our vet to get a mare, her foal and another mare to safety. Our vet treated them, but they are still not out of danger.💔
One of the hardest things to witness was a mother struggling to care for her baby while she herself was starving.💔💔💔
💔 This is suffering that should never have been allowed to happen.

We are incredibly grateful to the Mayfield Gardaí for their help, support and compassion. But this cannot simply end with rescuing the survivors.💔
That little foal suffered.
The other horses were suffering right in front of people.💔💔😡😡
And our team is left carrying the heartbreak of knowing that one innocent life could not be saved.💔💔
We now face the veterinary bills, the cost of removing the body, and the ongoing costs of caring for the three horses we managed to save, costs that fall on a rescue organisation because someone else chose to be cruel or failed to provide proper care, just not giving a damn 😡😡😡😡

How many more horses have to suffer before something changes?
What is happening in Banduff?
What is happening across this country?
Animal cruelty and neglect cannot become something we simply accept as normal.
We are asking for your support, but we are also asking you to speak up.
Contact the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Contact your Minister. Contact your TDs. Ask what is being done. Ask for stronger action. Ask for accountability.
Because these animals have no voice.
We have to be their voice.
We could not save that precious little foal.
But we saved three others.
And now we want justice for the one we lost, protection for the three fighting to survive, and change for every animal still suffering in silence.

Ernest, our sweet micro bully is hoping he won’t have to wait too much longer to find his loving forever home. ❤️

Ernest is a sociable, affectionate boy who absolutely loves people and thrives on attention and cuddles. He gets along well with other dogs, but he would prefer to be the only pet in his new home so he can enjoy having all the love and attention to himself.

At 2.5 years old, Ernest is also suitable to live with teenagers, he’d love a secure garden to play in and is ready and waiting to find his very own family. 🥰

Andy ❤️

Our gorgeous boy Andy is still waiting to find a loving foster or forever home. He’s an affectionate Cane Corso cross, and loves nothing more than spending time with our volunteers.
Andy came into our care with nine of his siblings, and unfortunately he’s the only one still waiting to find a home.
Best suited to a cat-free home with older children (+12) we would like to find a family who have breed experience and an enclosed garden, Andy could live as the only dog or as companion to a female, pending a successful meet and greet.

Billy is an American bully and, despite everything he has endured, he is such a loving, affectionate and happy boy 💙
