If you’re a recent graduate planning to apply for a Critical Skills Employment Permit (CSEP), there has been an important change!

📅 If you’ve earned your qualification in the 12 months before applying for the permit, and the job is on the Critical Skills Occupation List, the minimum annual salary is €36,848.

⤴️ After that 12-month period, the annual salary has to be higher to qualify for a CSEP.

Need to cancel a package holiday? 🏖️

📅 You can cancel your booking at any time, but you might have to pay a cancellation fee.

📢 You can cancel your booking for free before the holiday starts if something unusual and unavoidable is happening at, or near, your holiday destination. These are called extraordinary circumstances and include:

✅ A natural disaster, like a flood or earthquake
✅ War or terrorism
✅ An outbreak of serious disease

If your travel organiser cancels the holiday or changes the terms of your package, you can get one of these options:

⛱️ A replacement holiday of the same or better quality

🌦️ A lower grade holiday with a refund of the price difference

💵 A full refund within 14 days

Taking time off to look after your kids? 🧸

📅 You might be able to use parental leave. You can take up to 26 weeks off unpaid for each child.

🤔 In most cases, you can get parental leave after you’ve been working for your employer for a year.

📋 To get parental leave, you need to:

✅ Be a parent, an adoptive parent, or a person acting as a parent to the child

✅ Give at least 6 weeks’ notice to your employer

✅ Take the leave before your child’s 12th birthday
(or 16th birthday if your child has a disability or long-term illness)

✅ Take the leave altogether, or in blocks of at least 6 weeks

📢 26 weeks is the minimum amount of parental leave you can get, but your employer may offer more.
