Thank you Louis O'Hara TD for meeting with Kilmeen Cross Action Group recently and taking our serious concerns on board including our request to get the ball rolling again with the Minister for Transport in relation Kilmeen cross by asking the PQ.

WE WANT ANSWERS TOO!

Kilmeen cross Action Group are wondering where the 50k secured in 2023 for design measures for a roundabout and lights went for this site on N65 Galway. Perhaps TII and director of services in Galway can answer that. And secondly inform us of when we can actually see this project funded and completed at this very dangerous junction. And still nothing for the dangerous junction at Kilmeen Cross N65, all other pieces of the work done but NO PUSH for funding for here N65 seems to be forgotten about with 3 critical areas and pieces of works that need attention...........KILMEEN CROSS,

Breedon Group will be commencing road resurfacing works on behalf of Galway County Council commencing Thursday 29th January 2026 for 6 days on N65 Loughrea between Fairfield Roundabout and Kilmeen Cross.

To facilitate these works a Temporary Traffic Management System (Stop and Go) will be in operation from 9am to 6pm and consequently users of this road are requested to expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys.

Breedon Group would like to take this opportunity to thank road users for their cooperation during the works and to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
