On Monday (19th of October)

• Commuters Breakfast (The Hub, 8pm) - Commuters can take a needed rest from your arduous day of travel to enjoy a supplied breakfas with tea and coffee.

• Show Your Faves Off! (AC201, 6pm) -
Do photocard Deco and Hear me out cupcakes pique your intrest? You can come join us in expressing and defending your hear me out of choice and dolling them up! Comment your scrunkly below

On Tuesday (20th of October)

• Rocky Horror Picture Show (O h-Eochtá Theater, 7:30pm) -
Our only event is our foursome- no, our four way- no uh.... quad...collab? Anyway, join us in the lab and see what's on our slab! Dress up as cunty as you can for this event.

On Wednesday (21st of October)

• We're taking a break but the SU has organised a Big Gay Lock In! Join them in Sult for FREE at 8pm with our amazing local drag artists

On Thursday (22nd of October)

• Bi+ and their Bakes (The road infront of the Quad, 8am) -
We were originally going to have a tea and coffee morning in the Space but we want to support the picket line against Coke the Palestine Solidarity Society and the SU! So bring your bakes down to the picket line 💥🗣

• Film Screening: Paris is Burning (Dillion Theater, 6pm) -
So much of Q***r culture was adopted from Black Q***r people, this documentary shows our orgins anr their stuggle for a safe space

This week's film is.... 'Black Burns Fast!" In Thomas Dillon Theatre TOMORROW at 6pm, we'll be watching this wlw South African quirky coming-of-age film.

CW: homophobia, racism, flashing lights, sexual content, substance use

What better place to meet new people, as well as simply relax with friends than a tea morning?

Do remember to bring your own reusable cups/mugs/drink containers if at all possible; we are all for sustainability here.

Two events! Two events in one week🍕! This month, for Black History Month, we'll be playing a black q***r movie 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆!

This week we have "Dakan" (1997), first Q***r film from the African Continent. Come watch in the 𝗗𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 (Arts Concourse) at 𝟲-𝟴𝗽𝗺, 𝟴𝘁𝗵 of 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: homophobic language, kidnapping, (one count at 20:56-21:29) vomiting, conversion therapy, forced heterosexuality

Two Guinean men fall in love in Muslim majority country. Instead of turning away from their feelings, they embrace them and try get the support of those who care of them the most.

This 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟱𝘁𝗵 of 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, at 𝟰𝗽𝗺 in 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝟭&𝟮 (Áras na Mac Léinn), you can offer up or recite your finest fan literature pasages (max 2000-words). To do so, please submit your work at our QR code in the post and reminder, please keep it SAFE FOR WORK!!!!

COLLAB INCOMING! Join us and the goat 🐐 🦎 ZooSoc | University of Galway on 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 of 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 at Áras na Mac Léinn 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝟭&𝟮 at 𝟯𝗽𝗺 for some (supervised) lino printing!

Fabrics will be provided but just so we don't run out (again) we encourage you to bring your own cloth to customise! Feel free to coment your animal requests and we'll hopefully see you there 🥳

HELLO CONTESTANTS! IT'S TIME FOR AN EGM!
(and games but that doesn't roll off the tongue)

Join us at the CSB 1005 theatre at 6-8pm on Thursday the 14th of September for snacks and chats over Jackbox AND a chance for you to infiltrate the Bród Soc Committee! If that's not a good enough prize, we do have a genuine prize for the winner of the Jackbox games too 😞

AVALIABLE ROLES:

● Campaigns Officer:
The Campaign Officer organises one big project each semester. Examples of previous campaigns; Christmas Dinner, Society Mural

● Ethnic Minorities Officer
Their job is to improve the visibility of ethnic minorities within the society and to act as a representative of ethnic minorities in the society. They also run the Ethnic Minorities Safe-Space! (Please there's only two of us on committee I NEED this man.)

● Vice-Events/ Trips Officer
The Trips Officer is a sidekick of the Events Officer who also organises big trips within the country or outside the country (if you're feeling adventurous)

● (×2) First Year Representatives
They will also be responsible for ensuring that first year students feel welcome at events (as well as recruiting more ;))
