Vision
Ireland - a country where ecosystems are thriving and flourishing

In order to achieve this vision we are working to establish WildAcres in every county in Ireland; safe havens where species can thrive and flourish. We are all interconnected; we are one family in the wider community of life, which includes birds, trees, insects, water and more. Help us protect Ireland's biodiversity before

it disappears forever and be part of building a future where ecosystems are thriving and in abundance for the well–being of present and future generations.

Biodiversity Week 2026 - Redbog May Volunteer Day

Have you heard of Confused Bridewort? Want to learn all about it?

Biodiversity week is almost upon us!

Join us for a trip to Redbog on Saturday the 16th of May to help us with boundary maintenance and continue the removal of invasive species.

You can also help maintain the boundaries by installing a gate and to continue the great work we started last year removing the confused bridewort from our land with some time for a small site tour at the start of the day too.

The three priority recommendations of the International Advisory Committee, which will be fundamental to the success of the Nature Restoration Plan, are to:

- Fund nature restoration—with dedicated, long-term financial commitments.
- Prioritise action on public lands—leading from the front by managing public lands in the public interest.
- Support farmers, fishers, and foresters—empowering our custodians on land and at sea.

Nature restoration is a common cause uniting all of Irish society. Environmental Pillar welcomes IAC recommendations and urges Government to fund the plan https://www.environmentalpillar.ie/nature-restoration-is-a-common-cause-uniting-all-of-irish-society/
