The article this week highlights my opinion that a major park and ride facility is now needed to bring our town forward and be prepared for the massive uplift in what our new university and county stadium is going to bring. Also, our transport infrastructure is being held back by lack of parking at our train station and DKIT.
As a council,
And forward thinking, we need to plan now for the next few years.. inward investment is also being held back so action is needed now.

Fianna Fáil councillor Shane McGuinness said 1500 parking spaces will be needed at the new facility.

🥶 A Status Yellow Snow-Ice Warning is in place for Louth until 11 am on Monday, 5th January.

🔘 Wintry showers with some snow accumulations.
🔘 Sharp or severe frost and ice.
🔘 Hazardous Travel conditions.
🔘 Poor visibility.
