We're delighted to welcome Kevin Griffin to the Bluebell Community Centre for a special evening exploring the intersection of mindfulness, Buddhism, and recovery.

Kevin is an internationally respected Buddhist teacher, meditation practitioner, author, and person in long-term recovery. For over 30 years, he has helped people integrate Buddhist wisdom with the Twelve Step tradition, offering practical tools for emotional healing, resilience, and spiritual growth.

During this talk, Kevin will bring together ideas and practices from the Twelve Step and Buddhist traditions to support a path to emotional healing and spiritual growth. Whether you're in recovery, supporting someone who is, interested in mindfulness, or simply curious about how ancient wisdom can help us navigate life's challenges, this promises to be an inspiring and thought-provoking evening.

Donations are welcome, and all proceeds will go directly to Turas Training, supporting our work in recovery, education, and holistic wellbeing.

How We Work With People 💚

In Turas we believe people are more than a diagnosis, a label, or a difficult chapter in their life. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?” we ask “What happened to you?”

We understand that behaviours often develop as ways of coping, surviving, or adapting to life experiences. That’s why our work is focused on understanding the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Our approach is built on compassion and understanding.

We work alongside people to provide spaces were they can heal, build confidence, capacity, and healthier ways forward, recognising that setbacks are not failures, but opportunities to learn, reflect, and grow.

Recovery and change are not about “fixing” people. They are about helping people reconnect with their authentic self, understand themselves more deeply, and move towards the life they want to create.
