🏃‍♀️💜 VHI Women’s Mini Marathon 2026 💜🏃‍♀️

What an incredible day we had at the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon!

Everyone at Ballyfermot STAR is immensely proud of the amazing women who took part and represented our service with such determination, strength, and community spirit. Whether you walked, jogged, or ran, crossing that finish line was a fantastic achievement and one that should be celebrated.

This event was about so much more than the miles covered. It was about recovery, resilience, friendship, wellbeing, and showing what can be achieved when people come together to support one another.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, sponsored, shared our fundraising posts, and cheered us on along the way. Your support has helped us raise vital funds that will go directly towards supporting the recovery, wellbeing, and community programmes delivered by Ballyfermot STAR.

We are incredibly proud of every single person involved. The commitment, encouragement, and positivity shown throughout the fundraising journey and on marathon day truly reflected the spirit of our community.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended our Commemoration Ceremony last week in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Ballyfermot.

The evening was a beautiful and moving occasion as we came together to remember and honor those we have lost under this year's theme, "Lives Lost, Lives Remembered." 🕯️

A special thank you to all who contributed to making the ceremony such a wonderful success – our speakers, musicians, readers, volunteers, staff, and everyone who worked behind the scenes. Your dedication, compassion, and support helped create a meaningful and memorable event for all who attended.

We are incredibly grateful to our community for coming together in such a powerful way to support one another, share memories, and celebrate the lives of those who remain forever in our hearts.
