A very sweet way to thank our friends in the community ~

People attending our RehabCare services in Stillorgan decided to make 'thank you' cupcakes in their baking programmes in our Park House centre, and gift them to businesses across the local community.

These organisations have generously donated and offered valued support to our group throughout the year.

Partnerships such as these are highly beneficial. They enhance community participation and forge lasting connections.

Another fantastic achievement for Jordan Rattigan and the RehabCare Canal View running programme!

Jordan ran the Tullamore Half Marathon on Saturday and achieved a personal best time of 2 hours and 12 minutes 🎉🥳

Jordan was supported by our RehabCare staff member, William Doyle. The duo have championed the running programme throughout the past year, inspiring many people in our services, the community, and across the country.

Huge congratulations to Jordan and to all the staff in Canal View and Bridge View, part of our RehabCare Tullamore services.

It has been a summer of adventure and activity for RehabCare Conlon's Road in Nenagh.

The group kindly donated a birdhouse to the local community, while also taking part in swimming, sensory drives, and the GAA.

They reached many individual and group goals, and fully embraced all their community has to offer.

Bernie from RehabCare Monaghan and John from RehabCare Lifford met with our head office teams recently, to view their stunning artwork which has been on display for the past three months, delighting and inspiring colleagues and visitors alike.

Artists from across our centres regularly exhibit their wonderful paintings, drawings and craftwork in our head office in Park West, bringing vibrancy to the walls of the Dublin offices and strengthening connections between our services, our employees, and the people we support.

Bernie and John met with our CEO Laura Keane for a presentation of certificates, marking their individual creativity, talent and artistic skill.

A sincere thank you to Bernie and John for sharing your work and enhancing our head office environment.

Fidelma and Gerry from RehabCare Killeshin Residential Service in Sligo recently enjoyed a hotel break in the beautiful city of Derry, supported by Leah and Cameron.

Trips like this are all about choice, independence, new experiences and, most importantly, having fun!

They had a wonderful time getting away, exploring the city, enjoying some lovely food and making great memories together.

Celebrating Success 🎉 ~

Our Employability teams are delighted to congratulate Vasile and Ola, two of our WorkReady participants who are the first two individuals to have successfully completed our 6 month Pilot Programme with Prestige Signs.

The WorkReady programme, a collaboration between our social enterprises division, Rehab Enterprises, and the Department of Social Protection, was built on a powerful belief that inclusive work practices, tailored programmes to support individual needs, and joint collaboration and commitment can open enormous opportunities and change lives.

Ola and Vasile have shown exactly what that looks like. They embraced every opportunity, demonstrated their commitment, and set an example of what’s possible through these innovative partnerships.

Their success acts as a positive sign of what happens when organisations, businesses and individuals harness the power of collaboration, cross-sector support, networking, community partnerships, and sharing of expertise.

We would like to thank the MD, Adrienne, and her team at Prestige Signs Ltd. for their openness and their ongoing support and commitment.

We’re wishing a very happy retirement to Adrian Stewart, Head of Employability, after more than 37 years of service across different roles in Rehab Group and our supported training service, National Learning Network.

During this time, Adrian has worked in various management roles at both middle and senior management level.

He has made an enormous contribution to the development and delivery of innovative, outcome-focused services for people with disabilities, creating an impact that will last for many years to come.

We wish Adrian a long and healthy golf-filled retirement ⛳️

Zumba Rumba 2026! 💃🕺🏾🎶

The group in RehabCare Tus Nua in Tullamore had a fantastic day at their Zumba Rumba fundraiser.

There was a brilliant turnout, lots of dancing, plenty of laughs, and funds were raised for our centre.

A huge thank you to Apryl and everyone at KB FitFactory for all their help in organising this fantastic fundraiser and for bringing everyone together for such a fun-filled day. 💪✨

And of course, a massive thank you to everyone who came along, donated, supported and helped make the day such a success. Your support means so much!

All of us across Rehab Group are deeply saddened by the devastating collision on the M9 at the weekend. We are sending our love and very best wishes to our colleague Ella Hendricken and to the members of her family who were seriously injured in the incident.

Ella is a Community Support Worker with RehabCare Carlow and a deeply valued member of our team. Through her warmth, dedication and compassion, she supports people to live independently, participate in their community and achieve their goals.

Niamh Corbett, RehabCare Carlow Community Services Manager, has said that Ella has "such a bubbly, warm and infectious personality that naturally draws people towards her. She is always smiling, approachable and kind, and brings a really positive energy into the service. She genuinely cares about the people she supports and consistently goes above and beyond to make a difference to them."

A fundraiser has been established by Ella’s friend and our RehabCare colleague, Bryan Curley, to support Ella and her family during the difficult times ahead.

We know that many colleagues and members of the wider community will want to show their support.

All funds will support Ella and her family in their recovery. Please keep them in your thoughts.

Culture Day had a great turnout at RehabCare Ballyfermot ~

The people attending our Dublin-based Day centre have been taking part in a weekly programme, gaining knowledge and exploring different cultures from around the world, culminating in a dedicated 'Culture Day' that celebrated Nigeria, Brazil, America, and Italy.

The members of the service, alongside our employees, enjoyed some food tasters from the chosen countries and played musical bingo using music from the different countries.

One of our staff team brought in some traditional Nigerian clothing for the group to try on. A fun day was had by all!
