People attending RehabCare Slí Eile Carlow Community Hub, alongside staff, recently had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Dáil.

The group would like to extend their sincere thanks to Minister of State Jennifer Murnane O Connor TD and her team for their warm welcome and for helping to make the visit such a memorable experience. Pictured here alongside Minister Murnane O'Connor is Emma, Luke, Connal, Niamh and Tracey.

It was an informative, educational, and enjoyable day for everyone involved, providing a valuable insight into how our national parliament operates.

The visit was greatly appreciated by all who attended, who said they are grateful for the opportunity.

Rehab Group representatives had a positive and productive meeting with Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, Norma Foley - TD, on Thursday.

Rehab CEO, Laura Keane, attended alongside Director of Care, Gráinne Fogarty, and Director of Learning, Dr Rita Day, to discuss the breadth of our work across Ireland, supporting thousands of people to live lives of their choosing and to thrive in our Care, Learning, and Employability services.

During the meeting, our team outlined the challenges we face as one of the largest Section 39 service providers in the country.

We hope that issues raised around funding for disability services, pay parity, innovation, employment of people with disabilities, and the cost of disability for the people who use our services will be addressed in Budget 27.

Sincere thanks to Minister Foley. We look forward to our continued collaboration to ensure that disability services are sustainable, holistic, and personalised.
