Classical Arts Ireland CAI screens international opera and classical music events in cinemas across Ireland, North and South.

AIMS:

- To promote and develop a range of activities for public benefit in opera, ballet and classical music in Ireland
- To heighten national and international awareness of Ireland’s rich heritage in the classical arts
- To strengthen the place in Irish arts policy and provision of the classical arts.
- To actively address particular national needs in these fields
- To provide a focus for the large community of interest in the classical arts in Ireland.

General information

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: - The establishment and development of a long-term programme to produce scholarly performing editions, professional performance, and recordings of the large repertoire of important but unpublished Irish opera and art music. - Advocacy for and promotion of an Irish Classical Arts archive. - The promotion of the international Met Live in HD and Bolshoi Live in HD to audiences throughout Ireland. - Policy advocacy to improve the extent and quality of national provision for the classical arts in Ireland.
