❗Child poverty is not inevitable and it can be solved. One-parent families experience some of the highest levels of child poverty, which is mainly driven by systemic failures.
🗣Families cannot exit poverty without good State policies which address the root causes of poverty and deprivation.
🟢As long as one-parent families are:
🏘spending most of their income on rent, there will be child poverty
🏢 have high levels of in-work poverty, there will be child poverty
🚼unable to access affordable or secure childcare, there will be child poverty.
