🌍 Connecting youth through nature and sustainability.

We are thrilled to share that a delegation of young Irish participants from Global Nexus IE is currently taking part in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange, "Nature Steps for Sustainability", in the stunning region of Trabzon, Türkiye.

Running from June 18th to 26th, this immersive program utilizes non-formal, hiking-based activities to explore critical global themes:

Climate awareness & sustainability

Democratic participation & active citizenship

Intercultural teamwork & problem-solving

Our participants are not just exploring the beautiful landscapes of Uzungöl; they are developing actionable ideas to foster responsible living and sustainability within their own local communities upon their return.

A massive thank you to the organizers for arranging the travel, accommodation at Sekersu Hotel, and making this life-changing, inclusive opportunity possible for youth with diverse backgrounds.

📍 Greetings from Trabzon, Türkiye! 🇹🇷✨

Our amazing Irish participants have officially touched down and are diving headfirst into the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange, "Nature Steps for Sustainability"! 🏔️🌱

Right now, they are surrounded by the breathtaking views of Uzungöl, teaming up with young people from all over Europe to tackle climate awareness, sustainability, and active citizenship. From hiking-based workshops to outdoor group challenges, they are learning how to bring green habits back to their local communities.

Braga gave a warm and inspiring setting for Care To Act, an Erasmus+ Training Course on mental health in youth work.

Alongside the learning sessions, participants had the chance to connect with each other, discover the local environment and experience intercultural learning in practice.

🌍✨ Young people, different cultures, one shared creative journey.

Our participants from Global Nexus IE joined “Frames of Change” in Mardin, Türkiye, where they worked together with international participants to explore social issues through filmmaking and digital storytelling.

The project created space for teamwork, new friendships, cultural exchange, and meaningful conversations about discrimination, stereotypes, and inclusion.

🎬 Frames of Change | Mardin, Türkiye

Our participants from Global Nexus IE took part in “Frames of Change”, an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange held in Mardin, Türkiye, from 3–11 June 2026.

During the project, young participants explored important social issues such as discrimination, stereotypes, inclusion, and active citizenship through filmmaking and digital media.

They worked in international teams, developed video production and media literacy skills, and used creativity to raise awareness about real-world challenges.

Learning by doing during Care To Act.

Our participants from Global Nexus IE took part in interactive workshops, discussions and reflection activities focused on youth mental health and well-being.

Participants from different countries came together to learn, share experiences and reflect on mental health in youth work. Our participants from Global Nexus IE were happy to represent Ireland and be part of this meaningful Erasmus+ experience.

Our participants from Global Nexus IE attended Care To Act, an Erasmus+ Training Course in Braga, Portugal, focused on mental health in youth work.

During the project, participants explored how youth workers can support young people’s well-being, recognise emotional challenges and create safer, more inclusive learning spaces.

Through group work, reflection, intercultural exchange and non-formal education, they gained new perspectives and practical ideas to bring back to their local community.

Something exciting is coming soon to Dublin!

This local activity will bring together young people and youth workers for an interactive city-based experience full of creative street challenges, team missions, community connection, and reflection.

Participants will explore the city, meet new people, complete fun tasks, share ideas, and think about how small local actions can create real community impact.
