π’ Project Update | Phase 2 in Progress
The work behind Inklusion Atlas StoryMaps: Where Stories Meet Places is continuing, and our partnership is now moving through Phase 2: preparation and capacity building for youth workers.
After completing the main Phase 1 methodology and implementation framework, our current focus is turning that structure into practical training materials that youth workers can use in real StoryMap Labs.
At this stage, we are preparing:
π Four training modules for youth workers
Step-by-step learning from the StoryMap concept to planning, facilitation, review, and pilot readiness.
π Training and participant materials
Workbooks, exercises, reflection tasks, planning templates, and practical facilitation resources.
πΊ Story prompts and activity ideas
Themes include belonging, identity, accessibility, inclusion, community, safety, memories, and change.
π‘ Safeguarding and ethical storytelling
Consent, privacy, participant choice, safe sharing, difficult disclosures, and responsible publication remain central.
βΏ Accessibility and low-tech participation
Paper maps, drawing, audio, symbols, written reflection, and other alternatives are included so participation does not depend on advanced digital skills.
π Facilitator support resources
Scripts, quick-response guidance, readiness checklists, consent reminders, and troubleshooting tools are being prepared.
π Evaluation and quality tools
We are also developing feedback forms, reflection sheets, evidence tracking, and quality criteria for the upcoming pilots.
π Local adaptation is beginning too.
Each partner will adapt key elements to their own safeguarding system, language needs, accessibility realities, support services, and local context.
The goal of this phase is simple: prepare youth workers to deliver StoryMap Labs confidently, safely, and accessibly.
