Business Environment Council Limited (“BEC”) is an independent, charitable membership organisation, established by the business sector in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in 1992, BEC has been at the forefront of promoting environmental excellence by advocating the uptake of clean technologies and practices which reduce waste, conserve resources, prevent pollution and improve corporate environmental and social responsibility. BEC offers sustainable solutions and professional services covering advisory, research, assessment, training and award programs for government, business and the community, thus enabling environmental protection and contributing to the transition to a net-zero economy.

香港正積極與中國內地相關部門緊密合作，在大灣區構建全面的可持續航空燃料油（SAF）產業鏈。規劃涵蓋整個生產線命週期，主要聚焦以下三方面：
1. 上游回收：採集廢食用油等可持續原料。
2. 區內基建：在區內設立技術先進的生產基地。
3. 大規模製造：批量生產經認證的 SAF。

透過區內生產及上游供應網絡，香港將確保燃油供應長期穩定，同時推動大規模生產SAF。

項目是由商界環保協會發起的香港可持續航空燃油聯盟策劃，關注我們以獲取最新資訊。

Creating a robust ecosystem to decarbonise the sky.

Hong Kong is collaborating closely with Chinese Mainland authorities to build a comprehensive sustainable aviation fuel (“SAF”) industry chain across the Greater Bay Area. This will cover the entire lifecycle, with a focus on:
1. Upstream Collection: Sourcing sustainable raw materials like waste cooking oils.
2. Infrastructure in the Region: Establishing state-of-the-art production plants in the region.
3. Large-scale Manufacturing: Mass-producing certified SAF.

By anchoring production and upstream supply networks regionally, the city is ensuring long-term fuel security with the supply of SAF.

Funded by the Environment and Conservation Fund, BEC’s multi-stream reverse vending machines (“MRVMs”) is launching a special recycling challenge. Simply recycle five or more plastic beverage bottles and/or beverage cartons at any BEC-operated MRVM and complete the designated steps for a chance to receive exciting gifts. Using BEC's MRVMs during this period to earn DOUBLE Carbon Wallet points – ten points per item! Visit any of BEC's MRVM locations for the recycling campaign:

商界環保協會周年晚宴2026於昨天（9月22日）假香港JW萬豪酒店舉行。近400名政府官員、協會會員、環保及可持續發展專家聚首一堂，回顧商界環保協會過往一年的工作成果。本會很榮幸邀請到環境及生態局局長謝展寰先生擔任主禮嘉賓，並發表主題演講。商界環保協會衷心感謝所有長期支持本會的會員及夥伴蒞臨晚宴，鼓勵我們持續促進環境卓越，攜手邁向更可持續的未來。

BEC Anniversary Dinner 2026 was held at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong yesterday (22 September), welcoming close to 400 government officials, BEC Members, and environmental and sustainability leaders to celebrate BEC’s achievements over the past year. We were pleased to have Mr Tse Chin-wan, BBS, JP, Secretary for Environment and Ecology, as our Guest of Honour to deliver a keynote address, offering valuable insights into Hong Kong’s sustainability priorities. The evening served as a meaningful occasion to acknowledge the ongoing engagement of BEC Members and partners, whose support remains integral to advancing our mission of promoting environmental excellence and sustainability leadership in Hong Kong.

小小數字，航空減碳一大步！

根據最新政策，香港已訂立明確目標：在2030年或之前，將香港國際機場離港航班的可持續航空燃油（SAF）使用比例提升至1%至2%。

香港政府已釋出明確訊號，攜手推動航空業減碳，而這1%至2%的目標正是香港邁向可持續航空未來的重要一步。

Hong Kong has set itself the target of achieving a sustainable aviation fuel (“SAF”) consumption ratio of 1% to 2% for flights departing from Hong Kong International Airport by 2030.

由環境及自然保育基金資助、商界環保協會（BEC）主辦的「環境及自然保育基金資助　BEC飲品膠樽及紙盒回收再生計劃（本計劃）」已在全港多個地點設置共八部飲品膠樽和紙包飲品盒回收機（樽盒回收機）進行回收。

由2026年9月1日起，本計劃位於華懋集團旗下如心廣場二期的樽盒回收機將切換為提供的如心賞積分回贈。用戶每次透過此樽盒回收機回收飲品膠樽或紙包飲品盒，每件回收物即可獲得20分如心賞積分，每日每用戶最高可獲共600分。

為協助市民了解如何使用樽盒回收機進行回收以獲取如心賞積分回贈，本計劃將於9月11日下午2時至6時在如心廣場二期的樽盒回收機旁設置宣傳攤位。屆時將有大使即場介紹回收流程，並協助市民下載及登記如心賞應用程式，體驗樽盒回收及積分獎賞功能。

歡迎市民繼續使用樽盒回收機進行回收，在實踐環保同時賺取積分，共同支持資源循環再造及綠色低碳生活！

With the funding support from the Environment and Conservation Fund, BEC has launched the project “Environment and Conservation Fund BEC Beverage Bottles & Cartons: Return to Renew” (“the Project”). Eight multi-stream Reverse Vending Machines (“MRVMs”) have been installed at various locations across Hong Kong for collecting plastic beverage bottles and beverage cartons.

Starting from 1 September 2026, the MRVM located at Nina Mall 2, under Chinachem Group, will offer CCG Hearts as the recycling reward. Users can earn 20 CCG Hearts points for each beverage plastic bottle or beverage carton recycled through the MRVM, with a maximum of 600 points per user per day.

To help the public learn how to use the MRVM to earn CCG Hearts points, the Project will set up a promotional counter next to the MRVM at Nina Mall 2 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 11 September. Ambassadors will be on site to introduce the recycling process, download of CCG Heart mobile app and the point rewards features.

Continue bringing your beverage bottles and cartons to the MRVM for recycling to earn reward points while supporting the circular economy and a greener lifestyle!
