商界環保協會昨天（6月16日）舉辦周年傳媒午宴，慶祝商界環保協會大樓（又名「賽馬會環保樓」）落成三十周年。席間，本會營運總監梁志峰工程師介紹大樓作為「綠色實驗室」的理念，並帶領導賞團參觀，展示大樓的綠色建築方案及優化歷程，體現其在推動可持續發展、提升資源效益及改善樓宇整體表現方面的成果。展望未來，本會將繼續與媒體維持緊密合作，推動低碳轉型的具體行動，加快香港邁向淨零未來。

BEC hosted the annual Media Luncheon yesterday (16 June), as we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of BEC Building (Jockey Club Environmental Building, “JCEB”). BEC Director – Operations Ir C. F. Leung introduced the building’s Green Lab concept and led a guided tour, showcasing its green solutions and retrofitting journey that enhance sustainability, resource efficiency, and overall performance.

As Hong Kong accelerates its transition to Net Zero, BEC remains committed to working with media partners to scale practical solutions and drive measurable impact.

商界環保協會義工隊透過 Time Auction 平台，聯同本地社企食德好 Food Grace舉辦福袋派發活動。活動期間，義工合力將各種物資分類，並以米糧、麵及食用油等基本食品製作成福袋，派發予葵青區的長者及基層家庭。活動凝聚了本會一眾義工的力量，共同為社區提供實質支援。

Supported by our portal partner Time Auction, BEC Volunteer Team recently organised a “Goodie Bag Distribution to Vulnerable Communities” session in collaboration with social enterprise Food Grace. During the activity, participants came together to sort and pack essential food items including rice, noodles, and cooking oil into goodie bags. These were then distributed to elderly and grassroot families in the Kwai Tsing area. The initiative provided practical support to the community while fostering a sense of shared purpose among BEC volunteers.

商界環保協會主席歐嘉榮先生及行政總裁吳家穎先生正率領代表團赴馬來西亞吉隆坡進行綠色發展考察，期間獲馬來西亞天然資源及環境永續部秘書長YBhg. Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Binti Mohd Zainudin於布城接見，就環境的可持續性、氣候變化、循環經濟、天然資源管理等議題交流意見，並商討協作契機。商界環保協會由衷感謝當局的款待。

BEC Chairman Mr Kevin O’Brien and BEC CEO Mr Simon Ng are leading a delegation on the Green Development Mission to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. During the visit, the delegation was received by YBhg. Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Binti Mohd Zainudin, Secretary General of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability of Malaysia in Putrajaya. They discussed potential strategic partnerships in the areas of environmental sustainability, climate change, circular economy and natural resource management best practices. BEC expresses its sincere gratitude to the authority for the warm hospitality.

由環境及自然保育基金資助、商界環保協會（BEC）主辦的「環境及自然保育基金資助　BEC飲品膠樽及紙盒回收再生計劃（本計劃）」，已在全港多個地點設置共八部飲品膠樽和紙包飲品盒回收機（樽盒回收機），以測試樽盒回收機同時收集飲品膠樽及紙包飲品盒的實地應用。市民成功回收每個膠樽或紙包飲品盒將獲得Carbon Wallet獎勵積分。

大家使用樽盒回收機時，請先簡單清潔回收物，保持回收設備及環境清潔，從而提升整體回收質素。

以下為乾淨回收小貼士：
• 只回收飲品膠樽及紙包飲品盒
• 保留容器的條碼、招紙及樽蓋
• 簡單沖洗容器內部
• 避免壓扁或令容器變形
• 確保容器內沒有留有殘留物

With the funding support from the Environment and Conservation Fund, BEC has launched the project “Environment and Conservation Fund BEC Beverage Bottles & Cartons: Return to Renew”. Eight multi-stream Reverse Vending Machines (“MRVMs”) have been rolled out in phases at various locations across Hong Kong. This initiative aims to test the practical application of MRVMs for collecting plastic beverage bottles and beverage cartons. Currently, users will be rewarded with Carbon Wallet points for each successful transaction of plastic bottle or carton recycling.

When using the MRVMs, please remember to clean your recyclables first. This helps to maintain a clean recycling environment and improves overall recycling quality.

Tips for Clean Recycling:
• Only plastic beverage containers & beverage cartons are accepted
• Keep the barcode, sleeve & bottle cap of the container
• Rinse the interior of the container with water
• Avoid deforming the container
• Ensure no residue remains inside the container

環境運動委員會已推出《計住減碳好習慣》全新電視宣傳短片及線上活動，讓市民了解不同減碳習慣的減碳量，大家更可透過環運會網站特設《計住減碳好習慣》專頁訂立減碳目標，一起「扭轉習慣，計住減碳」！

Carbon reduction starts with everyday habits. To encourage the public to make low-carbon behaviours a part of the daily habits, the Environment and Ecology Bureau and Environmental Campaign Committee (“ECC”) has rolled out TV announcement together with online publicity activities to introduce carbon-reducing habits and their associated carbon savings. The public can also set their own carbon reduction goals via "Carbon-reducing Habits" webpage on the ECC website. Let’s "count and build carbon reducing habits"!
