【🌊 海洋小英雄： #樽海鞘 原來係應對氣候變化嘅小幫手🤩！】

你可能會將呢啲透明嘅「樽海鞘」（salps）當成水母🪼，但佢哋獨特嘅超能力，原來對我們嘅氣候變化影響深遠！呢啲小生物會成群游動，好似移動嘅過濾器一樣，不斷地過濾海水中嘅碳顆粒，然後將碳封存喺佢哋嘅排泄物中沉入海底，從而減少大氣中嘅碳含量，為我們減緩氣候變化出力，係自然界嘅「碳吸塵機」！🌎✨
樽海鞘的貢獻唔止於此，佢哋仲係海洋食物鏈中嘅重要一環，係魚類、海龜等多種海洋生物嘅食物來源。儘管體積小而且看似毫不起眼，但佢哋對保持地球碳平衡嘅貢獻卻十分巨大，我哋要好好珍惜自然界呢啲無名英雄！

When people see these gelatinous creatures, they often think of these transparent "salps" as “jellyfish🪼”! But salps are entirely different, and they’re critical to our fight against climate change. They form massive swarms, filtering water as they swim, which helps capture carbon-rich particles. These particles are then stored in their faecal pellets, which sink quickly to the ocean floor, effectively locking carbon away and keeping it out of our atmosphere. 🌎✨
Salps, with their carbon-sequestering superpower, are nature’s own version of a climate regulation system. They act as tiny carbon vacuums, working hard to keep carbon at the bottom of the sea. 🌊 They are also an essential part of the marine food chain, serving as a food source for various marine creatures like fish and sea turtles. Despite their small size and seemingly inconspicuous nature, their role in maintaining the Earth's carbon balance is significant.
