The close season is upon us for the next few weeks - we are closed from 15th May - 15th June the members will be on the lake most weekends maintaining the lake and surrounding pathways by the lake.

Once again the club has been successful in securing a grant from Acton Community Council which will help us with the ongoing costs.

Another successful grant application for the club this month - £500 recived from Acton Community Council to go to continued water quality improvement.

Any other local groups in the area who would like to take advantage of the small grant schemes visit the community council website.

The Club is now closed for adult memberships this year, we are still open for juniors. Next year’s memberships will be available from February next year.

The lake will officially re-open for fishing from 6am tomorrow morning (26th August), we have been watching the lake for the last few weeks and some of the members have been manning pumps to supplement the oxygen levels - although we have lost fish which is always a concern hopefully we are through the worst period.
Just a reminder we are a members only water and you must dip your nets on arrival at the lake to limit the spread of any disease.

The club have decided to close the lake for fishing for a short period of time. It has been closed for a couple of weeks already and this will continue for a while.
This is due to a number of things but mainly due to a fish kill a couple of weeks, coupled with high temperatures and the distinct lack of rain the last few months.
It’s in the interest of the lake and the fish stocks in there to be left alone for a while, we will be continuing to monitor the lake and supplement the oxygen when are where required by using water pumps etc - this will be overnight unfortunately as that is when the oxygen levels are at there lowest.
