🚲🛴 A friendly reminder from The Venture

We love seeing children enjoy active, adventurous play at The Venture. To help keep our play space safe and welcoming for everyone, please remember that children must not access the adventure playground using e-bikes, e-scooters or other electrically powered bikes or scooters.

Electric scooters are not legal to use on public roads, pavements or cycle paths.
Most importantly, these vehicles can reach high speeds and pose a significant risk to children using them , and the children accessing our play space, especially in a busy, open-access environment.

For everyone’s safety, please leave e-bikes and e-scooters at home. Children are very welcome to bring and use ordinary pedal bikes and non-electric scooters, where appropriate. 🚲

Thank you for helping us support active play while keeping The Venture safe and enjoyable for all. We really appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Thank you.

🎉 Rydyn ni'n ôl ar y wifren lithro!
We’re back on the zip line! 🎉

Today we were delighted to finally reopen our new and improved zip line, and the children were thrilled to have the opportunity to get back on and enjoy this much-loved play opportunity.

The Venture has always had a zip line, and it has been a much-loved part of our adventure playground for many years. Did you play on it when you were younger? We’d love to hear your memories and stories.

This new zip line has also been shaped by children’s voices. Through consultation and evaluation, we listened to what children wanted, what they enjoyed and what they felt could be improved. Their views helped us make this happen ,showing the importance of giving children genuine opportunities to influence the spaces they play in.

For us, this is what playwork is all about: listening to children, valuing their voices, creating the play experiences that they want and giving children the freedom to play their way.

And today, it was fantastic to see the zip line back in action , thanks Colin and the team and the funders who supported us to make this happen. You’ve made many children very very happy.

So, who remembers zip lining at The Venture? Tell us your stories👇
