🍪 The next time you're travelling on an Avanti West Coast service, pick yourself up some 'life-changing' biscuits.

Avanti West Coast have partnered with Half the Story to offer biscuits onboard its trains that are baked by people in supported employment. The business was appointed as supplier following an initiative to find socially conscious partners for food and drink offering. The social enterprise will be baking its chocolate chip shortbread to supply the train operator’s onboard shop.

The biscuits are handmade by bakers who have previously experienced homelessness or other barriers to employment and are described as ‘life-changing’ by its employees because the purpose-led business creates supportive jobs.

The people of Wem truly love their railway station! 🚉❤️

We were absolutely blown away by the turnout for our very first community art session. A massive thank you to the 44 people of all ages who joined us to get creative, including Helen Morgan MP!

🎨 Expertly led by Sarah from Silk 'n' Stuff, this is just the first step in creating vibrant, community-made artwork to brighten up the station shelters at Wem.

A huge thank you to Sarah for her guidance and to Wem Town Hall for hosting us. Stay tuned for more updates!
