Citizens Advice North Nottinghamshire

Citizens Advice North Nottinghamshire We're an advice charity, that offers free, confidential advice online, on the phone and in person. Citizens Advice North Nottinghamshire is a local charity.

We give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are, and whatever their problem. Our trained staff and volunteers provide free, impartial, confidential advice online, over the phone and in person. We are a member of the national Citizens Advice service, which provides the extensive information system we use to advise clients and sets quality standards

. We work with our clients to find out more about their issues, impart information, explain options and identify what further action can be taken. We can assist clients with their debt problems, help identify and support them with any welfare rights benefits they may be entitled to, advise on housing and employment problems, support with energy issues and deal with consumer or tax queries. We also have a dedicated cost of living service to help during the current crisis and a Macmillan benefits Team. Additionally we can also advise on legal matters, answer basic questions about immigration and we have lots of experience on family and personal matters too. We speak up for change in social policies; from our clients’ experiences we can see where services and policies are failing. We call this work “Campaigning for Change”
