What an amazing start to the show season at Woodbridge Horse Show.
The day started with Colony Lumberjack (Jack Jack) and Niamh in the yearling class. He was an absolute superstar from start to finish and acted like he'd been doing it for years. First bath, first loading and travel and first show in which he was foot perfect, taking a 4th place 😀🤗.
Next was Colony Jada and Kayleigh in the 2 and 3 year old filly class. She only went and won it, then took Reserve Champion female and female with the best feet! 😀🏆🏆.
Then it was Colony Kingsgaurd in the 2 and 3 year old stallion class. Overall he behaved beautifully and he was a joy to work with. Sadly, we had a couple of sticky moments when he decided he wasn't going to stick around. Apparently being driven at with a couple of shetlands and being applauded for your great efforts are both utterly terrifying 🤦♀️. Despite that he was a very good boy and took 2nd place in his class.
1st place went to Stour Valley Samuel who is owned, bred and exhibited by Mr George Pratt. This little horse has been in our care on full livery since he was inside his dear mum. From the day he was born, it has been a treat to work with him and watch him turn into this super, level headed young stallion. Wishing you every success with him George.
Last but certainly by no means least is Colony Eli (Ely weely squeely) and Lily, who won the Senior Stallion class, took Champion Stallion, Best Suffolk bred and owned by the exhibitor and Supreme Suffolk horse in Show 🤯🏆🏆🏆🏆😀🥳.
So proud of the team (that's includes you, Rob and Olive) and of course the horses. Thank you Olive for the photos. Good job 👏
