We want to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health. Suffolk Mind is an independent charity whose mission is to make the county the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health. To meet that mission, we provide a range of wellbeing services, courses and resources for individuals, schools, workplaces and community grou

ps. This includes counselling services, mental health support groups, and wellbeing training for organisations. To influence what we do, we use the Emotional Needs and Resources approach: that we all have physical and emotional needs, along with a set of skills and resources we’re born with to meet those needs. The 12 needs comprise three physical needs for Sleep, Movement and Food & Drink, and the remaining nine emotional needs. These are: Attention, Control, Emotional Connection, Respect, Achievement, Security, Community, Meaning & Purpose and Privacy. Contact us or visit our website to find out how Suffolk Mind can help you talk about and take care of your mental health.

Suffolk Mind has been selected as charity partner for Whole Hog 2026! πŸ‘Ÿ

Taking place on Sunday 4th October at Wantisden Hall, this year marks the event’s 20th anniversary - and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of such a special milestone. πŸŽ‰

There are some fantastic updates planned for 2026, including:
Β· Brand new obstacles πŸƒ
Β· A new style event t-shirt πŸ‘•
Β· Even more family-friendly activities in the event village πŸ™Œ

We have secured an exclusive Suffolk Mind wave at 10:30am, with 100 places available. If you’d like to join our team and take on the 5-mile muddy challenge, simply sign up here: https://zurl.co/xAFGU

(We also have a limited number of Boss Hog places available!)

There’s a small registration fee of Β£15, and we’re asking each participant to raise Β£120 to help support our vital mental health and wellbeing services across Suffolk. πŸ’™

Not keen on getting muddy? You can still be part of the day by volunteering as a route marshal and helping cheer participants on around the course. It’s a fantastic way to support the event and soak up the atmosphere without tackling the obstacles yourself! Plus, you will receive a complimentary Whole Hog hoody. Please email at [email protected] if you’d like to sign up as a volunteer. πŸ“§

Whether you run, cheer, or marshal - come and be part of this special event for Suffolk Mind. We’d love to have you involved! 😊

Suffolk Mind is an independent mental health charity.

This means that while we're affiliated with Mind and part of the local Mind network, we don't get directly funded by them. Instead we rely on grants and funding, as well as fundraising and donations to do the important work we do for people living in Suffolk. πŸ’™

If you're interested in supporting our vital mental health services then please get in touch with us. 😊

What an amazing couple days Suffolk Show was last week! πŸ’™

This year, we hosted various free activities and prizes such as bracelet making, spin the wheel, community puzzle, guess the item in the box and find the hidden word to take a book home. πŸ§©πŸ“–πŸ™Œ

We were lucky enough to hear some wonderful compliments about the stand, the activities on offer and our approach to mental health from the 1,000+ people that visited our stand over the two days. 😊

Thank you to our volunteers and team across the event, Woodbridge Books and National Literacy Trust in Suffolk for the book donations that were very popular amongst the children that joined us for the activities and of course Craig Starling from ICS for volunteering to participate in the mascot race as our Tanin the Suffolk Mind red dragon!

You may have received a discount code at the show for our Colour Rush event this month, if you'd like to sign up, you can find out more here: https://www.suffolkmind.org.uk/get-involved/our-events/colour-rush-2026/
