Yesterday, our whole company enjoyed a brilliant theatre trip to see Tristan & Yseult at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre! 💜

We had such a wonderful time, and of course, we were the BEST audience! 👏🤩

🎉 20 years of Peer! 🎉

This year we're celebrating a big milestone. Peer Productions began in August 2006, and our very first cohort of actors started their training in January 2007.

That's 20 years of plays, 20 years of impact, and 20 years of young people's lives changed.

To mark it, we'll be posting every Friday throughout the year, looking back at the people, productions and moments that made Peer what it is today.

Primary School Teachers - What if your Year 6 class could decide where the story goes next? 🌳

Moving up to secondary school is a big deal. The friendships, the worries, the "what ifs." That's exactly what The Forest In Between is about, and it was shaped by conversations with Year 6 children themselves.

In Nina Lemon - Playwright's play, we follow Bailey, Sophie, Devon and Budge (plus Winnie the dog, of course 🐾) through their last summer together before secondary school. We join Bailey, Sophie, Devon and Budge, along with Budge's loyal dog Winnie 🐾, as they gather in the heart of the forest on the cusp of secondary school. It's their last summer together, and the forest is about to teach them some important lessons. Sophie is navigating the fast-paced changes of growing up, Bailey is worried about climate change, and their friendship is shifting. Meanwhile, Devon struggles with honesty, and Budge faces losing his dear friend Winnie.

The digital version, made with innovative Stornaway - Adaptive Video, puts the children in charge. At key moments they decide together which path to follow next, weighing up the options, sharing their views and voting as a class. It's a chance to practise the autonomy and decision making they'll need at secondary school, in a space where every choice is a safe one to make.

With support from Council England we're able to make this resource available free for schools nationwide.
