Sometimes well meaning can in fact cause harm, but education is key 🔑🦔
For anyone who saw Paddy on Good Morning Britain this morning, allude to putting milk out for his wild hedgehog .. Dr Scott did not apparently correct him either 🤯so please please spread the word to correct this Faux pas 🙏🏼

WARNING….Please do not feed meal worms or calci worms!
Video of pretty little baby enjoying some basic kitty kibble, and fresh water. This is the best supplementary food you can offer!
Feeding mealworms to wild hedgehogs is strongly discouraged by wildlife experts because they have a high phosphorus and low calcium ratio that can cause Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD), leading to crippling bone fractures and weakness. They are also addictive and fatty.
Dangers of Mealworms
Metabolic Bone Disease: High phosphorus levels strip calcium from a hedgehog's bones, making them weak and brittle.
Addictive Behavior: Hedgehogs will gorge on mealworms and reject balanced, nutritious food sources.
High Fat Content: Frequent feeding can easily cause dangerous weight gain and obesity.
Please help us educate those who feed the hedgehogs in their gardens! Spread the word not the disease! Thank you!
