Today's Club meeting was a very special occasion. We are celebrating our 10th year this year and our co founder, Lenner Mockford, was our guest of honour. We had a special cake made by two of our members, Val Salter and Carol White. The cake was cut by Lenner, and her fellow founder, Sylvia Hobbs. Special floral bouquets were presented to both ladies, and a plaque was also presented which now hangs with pride in the Village Hall. We had a photo taken of Lenner, Sylvia, Ann (founding chairperson), and Gwen (current chairperson). What an amazing afternoon we had! If you would like to be a part of this special club come along every second Wednesday of each month starting at 1.30.

Good evening folks. During our Friendship Club meeting last Wednesday, we asked if anybody would like to come forward and serve on the committee. We are delighted to announce that Wendy Laughton and Ron Shipton have stepped up. Both Wendy and Ron settled here in 2024 from Essex, and will bring a lot of experience and ideas to the club. Afternoon folks. Remember that we have our February club meeting starting at 1.30pm tomorrow at the Village Hall. We will be holding our AGM right at the start which should normally take up 15 minutes or so. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
