In the event of cardiac arrest, a defib can make the difference between life and death. In our small rural community those crucial minutes of waiting for help to arrive can seem like a lifetime. A defibrillator is relatively cheap, easy to use and can restart the hearts normal rhythm within seconds. Research has shown that the use of a defib can greatly improve the chances of survival in cardiac events but time is of the essence. Debfibrillation within 1 minute has a success rate of 90% but this decreases rapidly with each passing minute. We aim to raise £725.00 to install a defib on our premises and improve the chances of survival for members of the public suffering cardiac events
