🎃 A Huge Thank You! 🎃

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Halloween Messy Play and Disco on Sunday! The children had a spooktacular time decorating teddy bears, creating spooky biscuits, playing with playdough and getting creative with painting. 🧸👻🍪🎨

A special thank you to Rebecca from Price's Party Faces, Rachael from Sing, Speak and Sparkle, and all of our wonderful volunteers who helped make the event so memorable for the children.

Congratulations to Joni, who won our Halloween hamper by correctly guessing that the Halloween bear was called Uncle Fester! 🎉🐻

We're also delighted to share that we raised nearly £300 for the preschool. This money will go towards funding two iPads to support children's observations at preschool. 📱✨

Great Doddington Village Preschool welcomes children from age 2, and we accept funded places. If you're looking for a friendly, nurturing preschool, get in touch today to arrange a visit and see what we have to offer!

🍂🌿 Park Adventure! 🌿🍂

Today we enjoyed a lovely walk to the park, where the children became little nature explorers! We discovered lots of different plants, searched for minibeasts, and collected plenty of shiny brown conkers to bring back to Preschool.

Back at Preschool, the children enjoyed investigating their treasures, sparking conversations, curiosity, and imaginative play. What a wonderful way to learn about the world around us! 🐞🍁🌰

✏️ Building Strong Pencil Skills! ✏️

Today, the children practised using a three-finger pencil grip to carefully draw along different "roads." 🚗🛣️

This fun activity helped to develop fine motor skills, hand strength, pencil control, and the coordination needed for early writing. The children showed great concentration as they followed the lines and navigated their way along the roads.

Well done, everyone! 🌟

This morning, Preschool visited the church to take part in some songs, listen to a story and admire the beautiful Harvest Festival decorations.

The children were incredibly well behaved throughout the visit. They listened carefully, joined in enthusiastically, and represented Preschool beautifully.

A big thank you to St Nicolas' Church and Rev. Jackie for making us so welcome. ⛪🍂🥫🫑🍎

♻️ 🌎🌱We read the story of the Messy Magpie who helps to clean up all the rubbish in his forest and recycle it. We talked about how we can make new things out of old so that it doesn’t have to be thrown away. After using some recycled boxes to make lots of different things, we disposed of them in our own recycling bin and looked at different things in our preschool that have a recycling sign on their labels ♻️ 🌎🌱
