Remember when jumble sales were the place to be?

Turns out, they still are.

Our customers keep telling us it's the best jumble sale in town, and we think that's down to the bargains, the atmosphere and the thrill of finding something amazing for next to nothing.

Most items are just 50p and entry is completely free.

Not every donation ends up on a shop shelf ✨

Sometimes it ends up helping a child recover at Alder Hey.

We're delighted to have donated these books, games and activities to the Therapies Team at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, where they'll be used to support children during their recovery.

It's easy to drop off a bag of donations without giving it much thought, but the items you no longer need can end up making a real difference to somebody else's life.

As a community-based charity, we believe in organisations supporting each other wherever possible.

A huge thank you to the team at Alder Hey for the incredible work they do every day.

We managed to keep this a secret... 👀

Today we surprised Sally with a Room to Reward certificate, which means she's been gifted a free night away!

If you've ever met Sally, you'll know just how deserved this is.

For more than 10 years, she's volunteered with CARE UK Charity. Whether she's sorting clothing donations in the depot, packing clothing referrals, delivering items to those in need, helping with tip runs, or taking new volunteers under her wing, Sally is always willing to lend a hand.

As it's Volunteer Week, it felt like the perfect time to let Sally in on the secret.

A huge thank you to Room to Reward for giving charities like ours a way to recognise and give back to incredible volunteers who spend so much of their time helping others.

Congratulations Sally ❤️ We hope you enjoy your well-deserved night away!

Recently, we donated a selection of books and Duplo to Bright Horizons Warrington for the children to enjoy.

Not only were we delighted to see these items heading off to a great local organisation, but Holly from Bright Horizons also kindly made a donation back to support our work.

We're always looking for opportunities to work with local schools, nurseries and community groups across Warrington and Halton. If we have resources that could benefit your organisation, we'll do our best to help.

Some dates for your diary 👀🛍️

Our community jumble sales are back over the next few months and trust us… you’ll want to come ready to rummage.

We keep the prices low, so expect rails full of good quality preloved clothing, shoes, toys, homeware and hidden gems at bargain prices.

Whether you’re stocking up for the family, love finding a bargain, or fancy a reselling hunt… this is the event for you.

And yes… there’s always queues before we open 😅

Behind every bed delivered, every empty house turned into a home, and every family given a fresh start… there’s a team helping guide what happens next. 💚

CARE UK Charity is looking for new Trustees to help shape the future of our work across Warrington & Halton.

In 2025, together we:
• Distributed over 10,000 items of essential clothing
• Provided 3,347 household essentials including beds, bedding and kitchen packs
• Helped more than 600 children through our referrals
• Sold 87,184 donated items through our charity shops to help fund local support
• Delivered more than 12,000 volunteer hours, equivalent to over £140,000 in staffing value

We’d especially love to hear from people with experience in:
• Retail or charity retail
• Transport & logistics
• Marketing
• Finance
• HR
• IT
• Income generation/fundraising
• Governance or trustee roles

You don’t need previous Trustee experience. If you care about local people and want to use your skills to make a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Trustees meet approximately every 8 weeks on a Saturday morning in Warrington.
