Friday 16th October
Ephesians 3:14-21

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Heavenly Father,
Strengthen me through Your Spirit today. Help me to be deeply rooted in Your love and to trust that nothing can separate me from it. When I am anxious or discouraged, remind me of the vastness of Christ's love and the greatness of Your power. May my life bring glory to You in all I do. Amen.

Thursday 15th October

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Notice God's invitation:
* humble yourself,
*pray,
*seek His face,
*and turn from sinful ways.

The focus begins not with changing others, but with allowing God to change us. Revival doesn't start in governments, schools, workplaces, or communities. It starts when God's people draw near to Him in repentance and dependence.

This verse reminds us that prayer is more than bringing requests; it is seeking God's presence. When we humble ourselves and align our hearts with His will, He promises to hear, forgive, and bring healing.

Today, rather than focusing on everything that is wrong around us, let's ask God what He wants to do within us. A transformed heart can become the starting point for transformed families, churches, and communities.

🙏 Prayer:
�Lord, give me a humble heart. Help me to seek Your face above all else and turn from anything that distances me from You. May Your forgiveness, grace, and healing flow through my life and into the world around me. Amen.

Wednesday 14th October

“But He would withdraw to desolate places to pray.”
– LUKE 5:16

What a beautiful verse. Just before this, we're told that news about Jesus was spreading everywhere.
Crowds were gathering to hear Him teach and to be healed of their diseases. Ministry was flourishing, lives were being changed, and the demands on Jesus must have been immense. Yet Luke quietly tells us:"But He would withdraw to desolate places and pray." (Luke 5:16)

LUKE 5:16 SHOWS US HOW MUCH JESUS VALUED PRAYER

In the middle of all the noise, all the need, and all the opportunity for ministry, Jesus made time to be alone with His Father. He didn't see prayer as a duty to fit into a busy schedule. It was His delight. Again and again, He would slip away from the crowds and find a quiet place where He could simply enjoy fellowship with the Father.

Everything Jesus did flowed from that relationship. His compassion, His wisdom, His power, His obedience, His peace, and His love all flowed from intimate communion with the Father.

When I read Luke 5:16, I am gently reminded that God doesn't simply want my service; He wants my heart. Before He calls me to do anything for Him, He invites me to be with Him.
Like Jesus, I need those moments of quiet solitude where I step away from the distractions and pressures of life and simply sit in my Father's presence.

🙏🏻 Dear Jesus,Thank You for the beautiful example You have given us. As we look at Your life, we see how deeply You loved the Father and how faithfully You sought time alone with Him. Thank You that Your relationship with the Father was not merely a source of strength for You, but an invitation for us to enter into that same communion with God.
Lord, our hearts long for more of You.
We want to know Your presence more deeply, to experience Your peace more fully, and to walk in the joy that comes from being close to You.
In a world that constantly demands our attention, help us to make room for what matters most.
Draw us away from the noise and into the secret place. Teach us to treasure unhurried moments with You. Help us not to rush into activity before we have rested in Your presence. May we learn to delight in simply being with You, listening to Your voice, sharing our hearts with You, and receiving Your love. Father, let our lives flow from intimacy with You rather than activity for You. May our service be the overflow of a deep and abiding relationship with You. And as we spend time in Your presence, transform us more and more into the likeness of Jesus.In His precious name we pray, Amen. 🙏

Jesus’ Teaching on Prayer

1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

2 He said to them, “When you pray, say:

“‘Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
4 Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.”

5 Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; 6 a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.’ 7 And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ 8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity[e] he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.

9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

There are moments on our journey following the Lord
Where God illumines every step we take
There are times when circumstances make perfect sense to us
As we try to understand each move, He makes
When the path grows dim and our questions have no answers, turn to Him

Bow the knee
Trust the heart of your Father when the answer goes beyond what you can see

Lift your eyes toward heaven and believe the One who holds eternity
And when you don't understand the purpose of His plan

There are days when clouds surround us, and the rain begins to fall

Sunday 11th October

Today we were reminded of the importance and power of prayer in our lives.

This message came through the spoken word, through every song that was sung, and through the ministry of our musical sections. The band beautifully shared Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, while the songsters moved us with Bow the Knee, both encouraging us to draw closer to God in prayer.

As we continue to focus on prayer this week, our worship hall will be open with interactive prayer spaces available for personal reflection, thanksgiving, and bringing our requests before God.
