Thursday 17th June

John 15:16

16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

Bring Glory To God
(John 14.v13-14; John Ch15v7; John15 v16)

Ask whatever you will in my name – that the Father may be glorified.
Ask whatever you will in my name – that the Father may be glorified!
Anything you ask for in my name –
I will do it for the Father - and His Name Proclaim
To bring glory, to bring glory, glory to God

Ask whatever you will in my name – that the Father may be glorified
Ask whatever you will in my name – that the Father may be glorified
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you,
Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done too
To bring glory, to bring glory, glory to God

We should depend so much more on Jesus
His provision is an open door
Why don’t we should ask so much more from Jesus
He will supply us from his boundless store!
Though our faith is small – we are important to His plan
To bring a great salvation to each woman, child and man
To bring glory, to bring glory - glory to God.

And so, this song is all about bringing glory
To the Father, Son and Spirit too
His word is all about us asking - but it’s not in praise of me and you
Just make a BIG, BIG, ASK then God is Glorified
We should go and bear some fruit and let that fruit abide
To bring Glory, to bring glory, to bring Glory –
Bring Glory to God, BRING GLORY TO GOD!

Tuesday 16th June
“Be still, and know that I am God”
Psalm 46:10

Psalm 46 is a beloved passage in which the psalmist declared that no matter what was happening around him, God was his refuge and strength. Safe in the assurance that He is God, we can wait on Him even amid chaos.

It's amazing how God can change everything when you simply choose to be still and know He is God regardless of what you are going through. And in the end all things work out for the better for us which gives glory and honour to His Holy name. We truly serve a great God!

Lyrics:
How many know He’s faithful?

I have faced many mountains
Been through trials
And shed many tears
When I look around and it all seems hopeless
I won’t fear
I won’t fear

I’ll be still and know
Know You are God
You’re right here with me
Through all my troubles
I’ll be still and know
Know You are God
You are the light and rest for my soul
You’re God and I’ll be still and know

When my heart feels anxious
It’s Your voice that calms every storm
When I find myself crying all through the night
You remind me
You remind me

To be still and know
Know You are God
You’re right here with me
Through all my troubles
I’ll be still and know
Know You are God
You are the light and rest for my soul
You’re God and I’ll be still and know

You’re a well
That never runs dry
No valley too deep
No mountain too high
You are my strength
And You are my guide
Lord You’re in control
So I’ll be still and know
You’re a well
That never runs dry
No valley too deep
No mountain too high
You are my strength
And You are my guide
Lord You’re in control
So I

I’ll be still and know
Know You are God
You’re right here with me
Through all my troubles
I’ll be still and know
Know You are God
You are the light and rest for my soul
You’re God and I’ll be still and know
I’ll be still
Oh yeah
I’ll be still and know
Not gonna move
Gonna be still
Oh yeah
Be still and know

Monday 15th June

Proverbs 19:21
21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

Dear Lord
Help us to submit to Your plans. We yield our plans to you today, we lay our plans down and we pray Your will be done. Have your way in our lives, have your way in our families, have your way in our churches, have your way with us we pray. Amen 🙏🏻

Lyrics:

God’s Plan is Greater”

(Verse 1)
I made my plans, drew the lines so clear,
Chased my dreams, held them near.
Thought I knew the way to go,
But the road kept turning, telling me no.

(Pre-Chorus)
I fought, I fell, I questioned why,
Tears kept falling from my eyes.
But in the silence, I could hear,
A voice that whispered, “Trust me, dear.”

(Chorus)
God’s plan is greater, His ways are higher,
Through every storm, through every fire.
When doors keep closing, He makes a way,
What I lose, He turns to grace.

(Verse 2)
I see the past, the lessons learned,
Every heartbreak, how it turned.
What I thought was meant for me,
He replaced with something heavenly.

(Pre-Chorus)
Now I stand where I belong,
Looking back, I see the wrong—
Not in His plan, but in my doubt,
He was leading all along, no doubt.

(Chorus)
God’s plan is greater, His ways are higher,
Through every storm, through every fire.
When doors keep closing, He makes a way,
What I lose, He turns to grace.

(Bridge)
Every “no” was for my good,
Every tear, He understood.
Now I walk with faith, not sight,
Trusting Him with all my life.

(Outro)
So I’ll surrender, let Him lead,
He knows exactly what I need.
I may not see, I may not know,
But I trust His love will never let go.

“God’s Plan is Greater” original lyrics (Verse 1)I made my plans...

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

SOMEBODY PRAYED FOR ME

When my heart was so broken that I could not pray,
When love wasn’t easy to see.
Someone was there, somebody cared,
Somebody prayed for me.

Somebody went to the throne of heaven,
Somebody lifted my name.
Bringing me into His holy presence,
Saying what I could not say.
Somebody showed me the face of His mercy,
When darkness was all I could see.
Somebody pleaded the Blood of Jesus,
Somebody prayed for me.

When the future looked hopeless and I’d given up,
When I had lost sight of my dreams
Somebody near, dried every tear,
Somebody prayed for me.

Somebody went to the throne of heaven,
Somebody lifted my name.
Bringing me into His holy presence,
Saying what I could not say.
Somebody showed me the face of His mercy,
When darkness was all I could see.
Somebody pleaded the Blood of Jesus,
Somebody prayed for me.

Somebody went to the throne of heaven,
Somebody lifted my name.
Bringing me into His holy presence,
Saying what I could not say.
Somebody showed me the face of His mercy,
When darkness was all I could see.
Somebody pleaded the Blood of Jesus,
Somebody prayed, Somebody prayed,
Somebody prayed, Somebody prayed,
Somebody prayed, Somebody prayed for me,
Somebody Prayed for me.

Sunday 14th June

We thank Cathy for leading our worship today. The theme is “Who are you in Christ?”

2 Peter 1:1-11

1 Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,

To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:

2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Confirming One’s Calling and Election

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters,[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Reflection:
Who are you in Christ?

YOU are chosen.
YOU are a child of God.
God loves YOU.
God delights in YOU.
YOU are God’s masterpiece.

Deuteronomy 7:6

6 “For you are a holy nation to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the nations on the earth, to be His own”.

Friday 12th June

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up”.

1 Thessalonians 5:11: ‘Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.’

Reflection:
With these verses in mind, who could you come alongside to encourage and mentor?
Who has God placed on your heart to support in prayer?
