And we were back with a BANG at Birchwood Carnival & Committee for our 5th year today! 🥁

The new Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Sagheer Zaman, joined the front of the parade and led our flowery drums around Birchwood Forest Park for this years ‘Flower Power’ theme 🌼🌸

What to do when the weathers hot?

Have a go at singing our songs of course! Some were nervous but most had a great time trying this out 🎤

We also had some fun trying some improvisation out; learning to listen to each other to create a tune off the cuff which turned out great! 🎶 ☀️

The Batida crew has had lots of new players join during 2026, so this means parade training! Walking with those large drums in front of your legs is hard, and certainly provides a work out for everyone 💪🏻
