Over the last 18 months, WEN has been working with Wirral Council and the other members of the Cool Wirral partnership to plan projects that will help people to lead healthier lives, improve their mental wellbeing, manage the cost of living and strengthen social ties - all whilst reducing their carbon footprints.

Our collective Thriving Communities programme has been successful in bidding for £1.57 million of National Lottery funding, which is expected to be approved and allocated at a council meeting next week.

On Tuesday, we shared photos of the bags Rachel has made for us to sell to raise funds for WEN.

Three members of the Energy Projects Plus team from next door saw the post and popped in to take a look for themselves... Four bags sold!

Also, the display of bags caught the eye of a passerby. She was pleased to learn we have our own craft group and may join them next week.

There are Crafters sessions on Tuesdays 16th and 30th June, 10am - 12pm. We have a range of craft supplies for sewing, knitting, crochet, jewellery making and card making. If you enjoy being creative, you would be very welcome to come along.

The walled garden is open again on Saturday 20th June 11-3. We will be doing some pond dipping.. find out what is lurking beneath the surface of Woodslee pond. We will have microscopes to zoom in on the microscopic life that supports a vibrant and healthy pond.
Thanks to the amazing for the green yoga session last month! Coming up in the next few months; sound bathing and bees (not at the same time 😉).
