🌸 This Wednesday at our Upton Get Together, we're bringing a touch of the traditional English summer indoors with our very own Indoor Maypole! 🌸

Think village fêtes, green lawns, ribbons and maypole dancing... but without worrying about the weather! ☀️

We'll start with a gentle seated warm-up before choosing a ribbon and getting weaving. Don't worry - there's no skipping involved, just a relaxed musical amble as we work together to create beautiful ribbon patterns. 🎀

It's a fun, satisfying activity and a lovely way to spend time with friends. We can't wait to see you there! 😊

It wouldn't be an Oddfellows get together without a cuppa and a chat too ☕️

🚶‍♀️☀️ Don't Forget – Kath's Lovely Walk! ☀️🚶‍♂️
Join us on Friday 19th June for one of our popular walks with Kath!
We'll be meeting outside Broadgreen Train Station at 10.30am for a gentle stroll and a chance to enjoy some fresh air and good company.
We can't guarantee the sunshine, but we can guarantee plenty of friendly faces and a pub lunch afterwards! 😊🍽️
Not up for the walk? We'd still love to see you! Join us from 11.30am at The Turnpike Tavern, opposite the station, where we'll be gathering for lunch and a chat.
In fact, if you're getting there before us, you can get the drinks in ready! 🍻☕😉

The Mersey Oddfellows had a great morning at our Book Club yesterday at Liverpool Central Library! 📖

There were some tough critics in the room for the book we'd all read, but that's what makes Book Club so enjoyable – it's always fascinating to hear the different opinions and perspectives everyone brings to the discussion 💛💙

Our next Book Club read is H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald, and we'd love to welcome some new faces 🦅

We all had a fantastic time at Childwall Abbey Hotel for their cabaret lunch! ☀️💃

Even in the heat, we still had dancers… way to go girls! 👏

✨ What a fantastic Friday we had! ✨

Our group had the pleasure of visiting St George's Hall and what an unforgettable day it was.

We stepped back in time in the Victorian holding cells, visited the historic courtroom, admired the stunning Great Hall and sat in awe in the beautiful Golden Music Room — a space loved by Charles Dickens for his public readings and once famously described as “the most perfect room in the world.”

Days like this are all about getting out and about, sharing new experiences, making friendships and having lots of laughs along the way 💛💙
