The Friends Group was set up in 2010 to help promote the library. We organise events, quiz nights and talks. At the moment, we have around 100 members.

We consider ourselves to be guardians of Wallasey Central Library in order to promote and cater for the academic, cultural, historical, creative, leisure and technological interests of the community. Recently, we helped secure funding for CCTV around the outside of the library building. We have also raised funds and bought projection equipment and hope to start a film club later this year. A longer term plan is to install a cafe in the library. You can sign up for our newsletter at [email protected]
