REAL PEOPLE - REAL IMPACT

Funny how 'finding purpose' sounds like therapy-speak until it's just you, a boat, and a mate yelling 'other left.'

No whiteboards. No breakout sessions. Just hands on a wheel and Windermere.

You mess up the mooring, everyone laughs, you try again.

By the third lap, you're not thinking about anything except not hitting the jetty. That's the closest thing to peace half of us have felt in years.

Next course: November - limited spaces

Real people real impact ... dont believe what we say, hear it from one of our Blue Light Service members.

Another member of the Veterans Connect North crew.

There’s only so much we can say about our programmes ourselves.

It means a lot more hearing it from the people who actually come along and give them a go.

Veterans Connect North gives veterans and members of the Blue Light community opportunities to get outdoors, learn new skills, meet good people and take on a proper challenge in the Lake District.

And usually a fair bit of banter along the way.

You don't need experience.

You don't need to know anybody before you arrive.

You just need to be willing to give it a go.

If you're a veteran or Blue Light worker, have a look at what's coming up.

If you're a caseworker, charity or support professional, we'd love you to share this with somebody who might benefit.
