It was certainly busy at the centre last week, with the Paddlesport Staff delivering a variety of Paddle UK development courses and awards.

We delivered Paddlesport Leader training for 6 participants, SUP PPA for 4, Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course for 8 and Paddlesport Leader assessment for 4.
Congratulations to all those who gained awards and passed their assessments. A massive shout out to the mock students who supported on the Paddlesport Leader Assessment 👏

A very busy week at the centre! Following paddlesport last weekend this week was all about getting out in the hills with a HML training and assessment as well as the ML training and refresher courses.

Paddlesport Leader mock students required!

We have a couple of Paddlesport Leader assessments running over the weekend of 27-28 Sept based out of the centre. We need a minimum of 4 students for each assessment to be led by the candidates; one day on open water in winds up to Force 3 and one day on a slow moving river.

This is an ideal opportunity for those looking to progress to Paddlesport Leader themselves as it will give you a great insight into the assessment process. Send us a message if you are interested and please share to your RAFAC colleagues.

There was also 6 students who attended a Paddlesport Leader training across the weekend. In true post summer holiday Lake District style there was wind and rain 🌧🌬
All students learnt new rescue techniques, and were refreshed in leadership, equipment use, and of course paddling skills. Well done 👏

Successful day out in the Lakes for our first MIAS Gravel Bolt On Course. MIAS CPD weekends are available on our course list and can be tailored to requests.
