👮‍♀️🚔 A huge thank you to our local police officers who came along to visit us at the unit!

The cadets had a brilliant evening getting hands-on with all things policing. They got to look at medals, try on some of the uniform, ask LOTS of questions, and even make their own fingerprint keyrings. 🕵️‍♀️🔍

And of course, no police visit would be complete without getting to set off the sirens! 🚨🤣

A fantastic evening, with plenty of fun, questions and new things to learn. A big thank you to our visitors for giving the cadets such a great experience!

From figuring out which way is up to perfectly timing the stroke—today’s gig rowing session was an absolute blinder!

​Huge shouts to all the cadets who stepped out of their comfort zones, learned some fantastic new skills, and kept the team spirit flying high (mostly through non-stop banter and silly nicknames).

🚣 Well done to our four cadets who attended rowing at Falmouth last night.

There was a lot to learn, plenty of new skills to get their heads around, and more than a few moments of "what on earth am I doing?" 🤣

Every one of them stepped outside their comfort zone, got stuck in, and gave it their all. That's exactly what being a cadet is all about, and we're incredibly proud of them.

Not many photos I'm afraid – it's surprisingly difficult to take pictures when everyone's busy trying not to row in circles! ⚓💪

This is a great milestone in their Sea Cadets journey and marks the start of many exciting opportunities, challenges, friendships and adventures ahead.

We’re incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved so far and can't wait to see what they get up to next.

What a fantastic weekend representing City of Truro Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets at both Children's Day and Armed Forces Day.

A huge thank you to all of our cadets who gave up their time to support these events and represented the unit brilliantly. You were a credit to yourselves and the organisation.

A special thank you also goes to our volunteers who gave up their own time to make both events possible. Your dedication and support never go unnoticed.

We had some great conversations, met lots of fantastic people, showcased what we do, and most importantly had a great time doing it!

A number of our cadets have had an incredible week at HMS Raleigh taking part in Naval Experience Week.

Throughout the week they have been given a taste of life in the Royal Navy, taking part in a range of activities designed to challenge them, build confidence and develop teamwork skills. They have represented the unit brilliantly, thrown themselves into every opportunity and made the most of this unique experience.

We are extremely proud of their commitment, enthusiasm and conduct throughout the week and look forward to hearing all about their adventures.

💙 THANK YOU – A GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING ⚓

City of Truro Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone involved in delivering this project that will have a lasting and meaningful impact on our unit and our young people.

Through the generosity of CCS Heating & Renewables Ltd, we are now benefiting from a 10‑panel solar PV system, recently installed at our premises. This significant donation will reduce our ongoing energy costs and generate income from surplus electricity, enabling us to reinvest vital funds directly into cadet training, development opportunities, and community engagement.

The standard of work and professionalism shown throughout the installation was exceptional, and we are incredibly grateful to all who played a part.

We would also like to acknowledge:

KC Scaffolding Solutions Ltd, for kindly donating the scaffolding required for the installation

Midland Solar Ltd, for their valued support and assistance during the project

Alex Lamb, Chairman of City of Truro Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets, said:
