This Sunday we shared a really honest message about relationships, community, and what it actually means to follow Jesus together. Using marriage as a picture, we looked at Ephesians 5 and discovered that biblical “headship” isn’t about control — it’s about self-giving love, like Jesus for the church. And the call for all of us is mutual submission: serving one another, bearing with one another, and building each other up.

If you’ve ever felt pressure to be “strong and independent,” this was a powerful reminder that we’re not meant to carry life alone — healing happens when we step into the light of Christ and do faith as a family.

This week we looked at 'Love in the detail!'. A practical, Jesus-shaped love from 1 Corinthians 13. This talk explores agape love as an active choice (not just a feeling), the danger of treating people like “things” in a productivity-driven culture, and the counter-cultural call for the church to love sacrificially and live as true community (Matthew 22:36–40, Acts 2:44).

At Grow Baby we’re all about loving our community in practical ways.

Come and join us tomorrow for a cuppa, a chat, and a browse through our free shop area, with baby clothes, food, equipment and essentials that have been generously donated and are ready to be shared.

Whether you’re preparing for a new baby, raising little ones, or could simply do with some extra support, there’s a place for you here.

We meet every Thursday during term time between 10am-12pm

What a joy-filled morning as we gathered all our children and youth together as one church family last Sunday.

From big games and creative crafts to worship and moments of faith, it was so special seeing the younger ones and youth engaging side by side.

We’re so grateful for every volunteer who served with such love across VKids and Youth - and for everyone who prayed. We really felt the Holy Spirit with us.

Thank you Jesus. We’re already saying… we must do this again. And we’ll keep making space for every child to come and meet Jesus: ‘Let the little children come to me…’ (Matthew 19:14).”

Hey everyone — hope you’re having a great week!

This Sunday we looked at John 15:12–15: Jesus calls us to love one another the way he has loved us — with real, self-giving love. The kind of love that isn’t just a nice idea; but the heartbeat of Christian community and the clearest way the world recognises Jesus in us.

We are also reminded us that sin is never “just private” — it impacts our relationships and breaks community — but Jesus doesn’t lower the standard; he meets us with grace and calls us into freedom, holiness, and a life-giving, connected church family.
