This week we kicked off our new series “Freed to Live” in the book of Romans—and it’s such a powerful reminder of what the gospel really is: not advice, but God’s power to save and change us (Romans 1:16).

The big message is simple: every one of us falls short (Romans 3:23), so we don’t fix our lives by trying harder—we come to Jesus. At the cross, He takes our sin and “clothes” us in His righteousness as a free gift. That means we can come to God with confidence, not because we’re perfect, but because Jesus is.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, anxious, or like you’re not enough—this is for you. You’re invited to say yes to Jesus, again and again, and to live in the freedom He brings.

IMPORTANT UPDATE – TOMORROW’S PARTY IN THE PARK PICNIC!

Due to the weather, tomorrow’s picnic will NOT be taking place in the park in Trowbridge.

Instead, we’re bringing the party back to church in the Cafe Hall at 10:30am!

Everything else stays the same:

Bring your own picnic
Tea & coffee provided
Bring friends, family or a neighbour
Activities and fun for families and children

So don’t let the weather put you off! Come along, bring someone with you and let’s enjoy a lovely morning together.

Red Tent is a space for women to gether, connect and encounter Jesus together.

In this final talk of our series Love: The Greatest Commandment, we explore Jesus’ invitation to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbour as ourselves.

Looking at Matthew 22:34-40, we reflect on how these two commandments are the foundation of everything. We discover that this kind of love is not something we can achieve through our own strength, but something we learn to live out through the grace of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Together, we explore what it means to live a life shaped by agape love , a practical, active love that flows from knowing how deeply loved we are by God. We consider how small acts of kindness can become powerful expressions of God’s love, and how we can return to our first love for Jesus as we continue growing as His disciples.

This Sunday we explored the difference between fleeting love and the faithful, covenant love of God — the love that stays, keeps its promises, and gives itself fully for us.

God’s love is not just a feeling or an idea. It is active, sacrificial, and revealed most clearly in Jesus. Because He has loved us first, we are invited to let that love overflow into everyday kindness, compassion, and grace towards others.

If you ever struggle with shame, unworthiness, or feeling distant from God, be reminded: in Jesus, you are forgiven, loved, free, and adopted as a child of God.

This Sunday, our WaterWays Vineyard Frome Site is gathering for a special Bring & Share Supper instead of our usual meeting.

We will still be gathering at our Trowbridge Site in addition for our Sunday Gathering from 10am in the Chapel Hall for hospitality, followed by a time of worship from 10.30am in The Sanctuary and our next installemt of Love: The Greatest Commandment.

We'd love to invite you to come and join in with both.

We believe some of the best moments happen around the table- sharing food, stories, laughter, encouragement, and simply doing life together as we follow Jesus.

Whether you’ve been part of WaterWays for years, you’ve only recently started coming along, or you’re just curious and looking for community, we’d love to welcome you.
